I have seen a lot of bands, its my second hobby to cars. My favorite band is "The Cars", but I have been to hundreds of concerts over the years, got to see tons of great acts from rock like AC/DC, Van Halen, Metallica,Iron Maiden to Judas Priest, country bands like Charlie daniels, Merle Haggard to Garth Brooks, Punk bands like The Dead Kennedys, Clash, Motels to Missing persons, New wave like Devo, Talking heads, to The Cars. But two I never got to see was 38 special and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Ones I would love to have seen would be Elivs, Led zepplin and Jimi Hendrix

.38 Special and Foreigner both played at our country fair 10 or 15 years ago. They kicked ass!

Not music but I regret missing Don Rickles and Joan Rivers when they appeared together at Ruth Eckerd Hall here in Clearwater, FL about 10 years ago.

Regret not seeing Robert Plant somewhere around 1990. Boston was playing the night after the Plant show. Tossed a coin.....and Boston won. They put on a decent show, but I wish I'd also gone to see Plant as well.

Only time Led Zep played my home town was in 1969. I was not old enough to go without parents OK. My father would never approve as he hated rock music.

I would pay to see Led Zeppelin tour one more time with Jason Bonham on drums. Their 2007 reunion concert in honor of Atlantic Record mogul Ahmet Ertegun was amazing... DVD is available.

I've seen a lot of shows there over the years. Most recently, Bill Engvall in 2019.

I was among the 20,000,000 fans who tried obtaining tickets for that 2007 show. Bought the BluRay and accompanying CD shortly after they became available.

I passed on going to see Tom Petty and DIO both on what would be their last tours. Regret that. Also got offered a free ticket to the last big tour Genesis did and passed it on to my old man. He gives me a hard time about how I should've went all the time. Hopefully I can catch them again. Otherwise I've seen a ton of shows so can't complain much. I see foo fighters mentioned multiple times and if you are even a slightly casual fan of theirs, GO. What an amazing show they put on! Saw VH in multiple flavors. Sorry roth fans but Sammy blew him straight out of the water. Saw Robert Plant acoustic in a small theater in Louisville. The Who, Rush (7 times), Metallica, Joe Walsh, Eric Clapton, I couldnt name all the good ones if I tried. If you like the blues, try to catch Joe Bonamassa, he's phenomenal.

The other concert that I have regretted missing was Doug and the Slugs. Now, Doug Bennet has passed away, quite a while ago but, once again, I have the albums (LP's at that!) and the music videos. Let the 80's roll!!!

This thread got me thinking about one concert in Fargo, ND I attended in summer 1978. Nazareth headlined with 3 or 4 other bands. Found very little info online about the show known as "Dakota Jam". All I've found so far was that Altanta Rhythm Section, Bob Welch, and Head East played it. Dr Hook and the Medicine Show were also supposed to play, but cancelled at the last minute.

Also discovered the promoters were allegedly involved with some illegal activities. That may explain why there's no mention on any band's concert history about this show. Good thing I have some photos from that day.

Another concert I attended was T. Rex/3 Dog Night in 1972. My younger sister was a huge 3 Dog Night fan and wanted to go very badly. She was 16 at the time and our mom refused to allow her to attend by herself. So she asked me to take her. I was a huge T. Rex fan at the time, but hemmed and hawed about going. Told her she had to get mom to loan me her car before I'd agree to go.:p

    T. Rex blew 3 Dog Night away that night. Don't recall much about the main event, but my sister was over the moon about seeing them. :D

Rolling Stones last year. Covid shut down their tour. Mick sure puts on a great show, and yes he can still rock & sing.....Went to their Comerica Park Zip Code tour in 2015.

My co-worker years ago was a huuuuggggeee fan of PJ and Eddie Vedder. He went to a Mariners game and saw EV putting mustard on a couple of hot dogs for him and his daughter, my friend knew he's a private guy so he just pretended to grab a straw and said quietly " I just wanted you to know your music helped me through some rough times in my life " EV didn't say a word but reached in his pocket and slid a PJ guitar pick over........ Curtis still has it obviously!!

My wife & I have done some memorable things at concerts, she is a radio station contest groupie and wins stuff all the time, in fact her car she won at a local contest!
We've been backstage with Foo Fighters and sat for the show on there sound stage. Backstage with Nickleback and watched the show from their sound stage also. Met Melissa Etheridge before her concert, she actually asked my wife out to dinner!
Backstage with Seether, I got pics of Sean Morgan trying out my buddies 'Wing Sauce ' I brought for him....
We've won 4 guitars from KISW here locally in Seattle, Autographed guitars from Judas Priest, AC/DC (!) Disturbed and a band called Crossfade.
KISW flew me and my son to Phoenix and went backstage with Disturbed & Avenged Sevenfold. 111* concert there!
One year she put $25,000 worth of winnings on our tax returns, I was a bit pissed.
Oh yeah had a private concert with a Danish Singer Tove Lo, what a beautiful young lady!
My daughter has met Taylor Swift, The Jonas Bro's, Fergie, a bunch of American Idol stars....
    Yes I have pics!

I was home working on my Buick! ( Actually I was probably at work! ).
Her Mom took her to that show, Taylor took a sharpie and wrote on my daughters shirt ' Taylor loves ' with an arrow pointing up to my little girls face!
    Pretty cool!

Don't try to pin me down on the year but I had a pair of tickets for the Eagles at the old Richfiled coliseum for what we did not know then was the last tour before the breakup. My date stood me up on concert night and I was so pissed I tore up the tickets. Wish I could say that was the dumbest thing I ever did over a woman.

Although I'm not much of a Beatles or their members fan, I saw McCartney when he played here in 1993. I worked at the concert so got in free. :D They put on a good show for the paying customers.

They added "Mull of Kintyre" to the set list when a local group known as the "Heather Belles Pipe Band" joined them on stage during the encore. That was the first time playing that song in North America. My understanding was they rarely did that song at any concert due to it's complexity and requirement for extra musicians.

Awesome! You should go to Wikipedia and correct "never in North America" line with your story... :)
