It was 1994 and I had just retired from the US Air Force to Washington State. I saw an advertisement for Pink Floyd: Division Bell Tour. They weren't playing in WA (for whatever reason) but were making a stop across the border in Vancouver, BC. I toyed with the idea of heading north as I had never seen a Pink Floyd concert, but then thought, "I'll catch them on the next tour..." Arrrrrrrrrrgh!!!! We know how that worked out...

For us it would be Queen. Amazing at Live Aid! Did see them a couple years ago with Adam Lambert and that was still really good. In my opinion Freddy might have been the best front man ever.

I can’t count shows I was too young to see (Skynyrd at the Fox, ‘76, Ozzy in ‘81) but I’d have to say Ozzy in ‘91, Metallica on the Puppets tour, and Guns N Roses. (Their first Atlanta show was cut short because Axel tried to attack a security guard but hit three cops and got arrested, their later tour stop got canceled, too).

I've always wanted to see Motley Crue in concert, when I heard they were going to be doing a tour this year I was planning everything for me and the wife to go see them. Then the dam covid19 hit and f***ed it all up:mad:. I really hope they still go through with the tour when covid ends.

2009, Billy Joel and Elton John together on stage. Set for September or October I think. Elton got sick.
They postponed until Feb or March of 2010.
My wife had a stroke in January of 2010.
I lost the physical tickets which were about $500 for the pair, front row side. I had to request a refund for the amount paid.
I could have sold those for $750 easy if I only had the damn physical ticket.
Yeah, missed that one, but made it to the Eagles at least.

Well I have 2. Missed Cross Canadian Ragweed once because I really didn’t know who they were until a few months after. The other was No Justice, that was because they canceled the show I was going to and they split the very next day.
Yeah I know not big name bands for a lot of you.
Oh and seeing Slash in Windsor at Ceaser palace. But that was my own fault

My list would probably be 100+ as I am a little bit too young to have experienced the 50s, 60s and early 70s. Thank goodness for YouTube to experience some of that today. Look up Chuck Berry in France 1960s, absolutely incredible.

in the 80s I made the choice to purchase car stuff over concert tickets more times than I can count.
    Priorities :(
    always with the thought process
“ i’ll catch them the next time around“
When Stevie Ray Vaughan died that was the wake up call, I never saw him one time and he came to Colorado more times than I can count. RUSH too..... ouch........

The one that really gets me: in 2006(?) I took my 17-year-old to see Bo Diddley at a fantastic small venue in Denver. Purchase tickets in advance and the night of the show at the door we learned the city had changed some of its liquor laws and would not allow anyone under 21 into the show. Unbelievable.... Diddley died a year later.

thinking about it, wouldn’t it have been cool if they gave away small stickers at every concert just like the state stickers you would see in the back window of station wagons. Would love to have A Momento like that to put on the car I drove to all of those old shows. My GS was certainly one of them........

DIO. Never got the chance before the SOB stomach cancer got him.

Bon Scott. I've seen AC/DC a few times but never with The Bonnie Scott.

For the most part is really has to be someone I really want to see with the prices, jacked up way Ticketmaster does tickets, BS convenience fees, & other broker grabage:mad::mad::mad:!!

In 1978 I missed the chance to go to see Kiss in Detroit. I was in a play the same weekend they were in town. Dammit!
In 1980 I was supposed to see Led Zeppelin but that got cancelled when the drummer died.

I was planning on going to the RUSH final tour, but the accident I was in left me unable to attend any concerts. Now, there is no chance of any more RUSH since Neil Peart has passed away. Ah well, I have the albums and concerts on Youtube to soothe the sad.

Well, 2 concerts I was bummed that got canceled... it was either late 90's or early 2000's I think... Van Halen with both David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar together... We were tailgating in the parking lot when we got word that they canceled the show 3 hours before and don't remember if it was because they were fighting or if someone was sick... 2nd show was the Black Crowes that got canceled this year because of Covid. I had actually broke down and bought really good seats like 10th row for this one... that one was definitely a bummer to miss..

The October 19, 1977 Lynyrd Skynyrd concert in Greenville, SC. I lived in Greenville then but was a poor college student and couldn't afford to go. A lot of my friends went and said it was a great show. Who knew it would be the last...
Also, the Black Sabbath concert in Spartanburg, SC in the early 70's. I was too young & too broke. It was the only time they played anywhere near me when Ozzy was still with them.

I've seen a lot of concerts over the years. One I'm glad I made when I did was Nirvana for the Heart Shaped Box tour, in Lakeland, FL, in 1994. The Breeders opened for them and both bands were awesome! Later that year we all know what happened to Kurt Cobain.

I regret never taking the opportunity to see The Ramones, one of my all-time favorite bands. It seemed as though there was always something more important going on in life, when they were here.

Emerson, Lake, and Palmer in Florida in 1977. Uncle Sam had me too committed to passing a school. (Eventually ended up getting out of that program)
Madonna in April 1985. Again, Uncle Sam decided that it was time for me to go to the USS Midway in Yokosuka Japan, two days before the concert...Sold tickets to an acquaintance for face value. They mailed me about how GREAT the concert was...

This one is easy for me.....summer of 1987 in Athens, OH and it’s the middle of an extreme heatwave/drought. My buddy Randy rolls into my crib early one Saturday morning with a pair of tickets to see the Dead at Buckeye Lake. It was gonna be another blazing hot day, I wa still sporting a hangover from the previous nites activities and I was dead ass broke ( college). I told him pass, he asks if I’m sure (shows me the package of goodies) and I said yep, have fun brother.
He died the next spring in a motorcycle accident ........one of my biggest regrets not going with him that day.

My regret is being drunk and not knowing who was on stage when I've been to concerts lol.

The only one I remember vividly because I didn't drink was Foo fighters in Albuquerque a few years ago. I was sitting next to some drunk dude who kept yelling Albuquerque and New Mexico the whole time.

I want to see Tool! My sister said Marilyn Manson sucks because he's usually drunk and sloppy. Apparently Ramstein puts on a hell of a show. I won't go to rap shows because even my colored friends won't go and tell me not to.
