Ya know this is gonna be surreal for the Manning family. We LOVE them here. I watched Peyton and Eli play ball before and during high school. I've had drinks w/ Cooper and his momma Olivia(and stood side by side with them on St. Charles for Mardi Gras years ago. I don't know if he would remember, but once while back home on break Peyton was gettin' near jumped by some frat boys from Tulane at a college watering hole and a friend and I made 'em change their mind and Peyton bought us a beer:beer . These folks are true dyed-in-the-wool New Orleanians. I've always been proud of each and every one for their support and morals and love of this city. Just wish Archie got a ring......

I always say this is our year. I guess this thread proves that, but I said it would also be against Peyton.:beer

Funny you should mention this. If you could have seen the mayhem around the dome, cbd and qtr. you might be shocked. It was crazy. It''s been on the news and on the radio that apparently we don't know how to celebrate, as no cars were flipped and set a fire or crowds needing to get dispersed. Ya gotta understand for all what people think about N.O., we WE RAISED PARTYING!!!! WE know how to handle ourselves. Hell cops and troopers were getting hugged. People were in gridlock and waiving others through. Black, white, asian are all brought together. The love For the Saints 'round the gulf coast is a great equalizer....:TU: :)

So, if the Saints win the Super Bowl this year, does that make the COWBOYS THE REAL CHAMPIONS by way of them beating the Saints, Panthers, and Buccaneers?

I don't think it's fair to blame Favre for that loss, the Vikes should have never put themselves in that position in the first place. They drove down to the Saints 10 or so yard line on two occasions and gave the ball away both times. Lets say for arguement sake that they only get one field goal out of those two drives, they win in regulation. Now on that note, the Saints got turnovers. They did what they had to do to win the game. Is it luck or skill? I tend to think it's a little of both, you can create your own luck. Now as far as I'm concerned I want a good Superbowl. I won't be rooting for one team or the other. I'm sort of a neanderthal and like my football served up in rough slabs. Hard hitting, a handful of lead changes, no turnovers, few penalties aahh if only...

How come Favre is afraid to run the football??:Do No: He could have easily ran for enough yardage to get them in field goal range but instead he makes a stupid across the field pass:mad::puzzled::confused:

    you forget he was gimped?

if he hadn't gotten folded over that Saints defender earlier in the half i would agree with you. as it was, that roll out took about everything he had. i was actually thinking the Saints might have gotten him out of the game when he had to be helped, limping, off of the field.

i know the announcers were ripping on him for not running, but just because they said something doesn't make it so.

Hey, the boys beat my birds three times this season.

as far as I can tell, none of this makes them any less of a bunch of losers than they really are.

I just hope for a clean game played by both teams so that the NFL referee's calls will not come into play..........several questionable calls in the play-off games.......

Go Colts !.........how bittersweet is it that a son of the first family of New Orleans football is the quarterback going against them in the biggest game ever.......

The teams competing and you and me,their loyal Fans are all winners because of the great feeling that these two class teams doing GOOD and playing the RIGHT way bring to US all :beer

I'm guessing about 95% of the country and media is rooting for the Saints because they're the "underdogs" by 4 points (supposedly). It's basically what happens when you root for an Indiana team- "They suck they'll never make it to the big game" or "If they do they'll choke" or "They don't have game changing players" or "Their defense is nonexistent." I've heard it all. It's like deja-vu of the 2006 season. We'll see come next Sunday night... :Brow:

    Go Colts! BLUE REIGN!

I was disappointed in the way the Saints played the game. I am all for a hard hitting game but I want it to be legal. I hate when these clowns compare a game to being a war out there because they have no idea what it is like to be in a war. (except Pat Tillman) That shows no respect for the men and women in this country that have gone to war and some have never come back for alot less money than these players are paid.

The Saints seem to have a dirty program and that surprises me the city would embrass that after what they have been through.

Three New Orleans Saints players were fined a total of $30,000 for four different hits in Sunday's NFC Championship game. Three of those hits were delivered to Brett Favre.

As we mentioned earlier Bobby McCray was fined $20,000 for two hits on Favre. The first came after Favre handed off to Percy Harvin in the first quarter. McCray then hit Favre in the knees on his interception in the third quarter, causing Favre to suffer a left ankle injury.

Defensive tackle Anthony Hargrove was fined $5,000 for unnecessary roughness when he lifted Favre up and slammed him to the turf in the third quarter.

Finally, Jonathan Casillas was fined $5,000 for unnecessary roughness when he hit punt returner Darius Reynaud after he had downed the ball.

I say give them leather helmets again and they will think twice about throwing themselves head first at a player trying injure them.

Next I am a Colts fan.

Yeah, and up til this year that was a legal tackle. But poor Tom Brady got a boo-boo. It's 300lb. men going full tilt boogie, then at the last second they have to change the laws of physics and dare touch the person of the QB. I call BS!!!! Ask Art Donovan or any other old timers how they feel about todays flag football games...
