The rules are the rules weather its the Brady rule or the horse collar rule. I agree the game is not the same as it was 25 years ago.

I would be disappointed if the Vikings used a non starting defensive lineman and ordered him to go injury Drew Brees at any cost. Dont worry about the rules and if you get thrown out no big deal your not a starter.

Even with all this the Vikings could have won but couldnt hold on to the ball. I know some were good defensive plays but a couple were dropped with out any contact. They lost the game they should have won now have to watch the Superbowl just like me.

I hope the Saints have a different game plan then what they used against the Cards/Vikes because Manning is not a 40 yr old that will hold on to the ball. He knows right where to go and showed the #1 defense just how good he is under pressure.

The upside is I dont have to worry about them losing a 5th Superbowl.

The Colts are a really good team.

And straight from the DONKEYS mouth!!

Gregg Williams attempt at psychological warfare: After posting 30 points in the AFC Championship game against Rex Ryans Jets, Indianapolis will try to silence another loud-mouthed defensive guru. During a radio interview last week, Williams stressed that his unit wants to register some remember me shots against Manning. The Saints coordinator also didnt seem concerned if his players drew fines for borderline blows.

Well yeah, so???? That's the goal, Get to the QB, hit the QB and get in his head and/or rush him. And no I am not talking about cheap shots to end a career like Mr. Favre here:::

P.S. ya shoulda seen me in my dress last Sun in the Qtr.-I looked very pretty..... :)

so let me get this straight poppaluv, when favre blocks it's a cheap shot, but when the saints players go for the knees or hit the QB late, then it's clean hard football?:Do No:

did you somehow miss where Favre went for the guys knees? did you miss that Favre got a flag on that?

hey, if a QB wants to dish it out he damn well better be able to take it.

Free Riviera Sounded like a good deal

I didn't see anything about how the Saints played the Vikings that was overtly dirty. Am I the only one who saw it that way?

I don't wanna hear anyone make any apologies for the Saints being where they are, or complaints about why they're there. This year we have legit decent teams that aren't just peaking at the right moment.

John my point is that I don't think any Saint was Trying to Maim the QB. I've watched that game 1/2 a dozen times. Sometimes you can't stop moving once you're moving (you know what I mean). I saw them even pull up and try to "glance off" instead of going through.:)

The object is to tackle and hit the QB, THAT is why he has an O-line. :Dou: You know the Saints have a QB too and he is supposed to be protected. There is a difference between being aggressive and dirty. I don't feel we have one dirty player. :TU:

As for Greg Williams, as he stated today, "I don't think telling our guys to give Peyton valentines or butterfly kisses would rally work with them"

    GEAUX SAINTS!!!!

P.S. The NFL did a 180 on the lawsuits. NOw they say we can use Who DAt, Geaux, Who Dat Nation, and the fleur-de-lis. Isn't that nice of them???:spank:

Our legislators threatened to print anything they wanted to push the NFL to sue. The NFL tried to save face but backed completely off. you have no idea how the Who Dat Nation felt after they tried to pull that crap.

Buddy Caldwell says no need to sue NFL over 'Who Dat'
    By Ed Anderson, The Times-Picayune
    February 01, 2010, 5:50PM

State Attorney General Buddy Caldwell said he does not see the need to file a lawsuit against the National Football League over ownership of "Who Dat'' or the fleur-de-lis.
Who Dat graphic.jpgFile photoSen. David Vitter's Who Dat challenge

Caldwell said he and members of his staff spent an hour on a conference call with lawyers for the NFL over trademark claims to the slogan and symbol that have become attached to the New Orleans Saints.

Caldwell said the bottom line from the legal back-and-forth with the league is that the NFL "is conceding it has no exclusive rights to the fleur-de-lis and no exclusive rights to 'Who Dat' and offshoots of 'Who Dat,' and no exclusive rights to the colors black and gold."

Caldwell said his office was drafting a document to be signed by the state and the NFL by Tuesday outlining what is and is not allowable.
Confirming what the NFL said in clarifying statements released Friday, Caldwell said merchants can sell products with the and phrase and flower insignia as long as they do not claim it is officially licensed NFL items. "They can't represent it as a Saints logo or product," Caldwell said. NFL officials could not be reached for comment.

Over the weekend, the Democratic State Central Committee, the board that governs the state party, called on Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal to get Caldwell, a Democrat, to file a lawsuit to protect the use of the phrase and the symbol.

Caldwell said his office was researching the matter since before Saturday, shortly after the NFL first sent cease-and-desist letters to merchants for selling items that are not licensed.

The league targeted use of the fleur-de-lis -- a centuries old symbol of French royalty -- and the phrase Who Dat.

That created storm of controversy from members of the congressional delegation with U,S. Sen. David Vitter, R-La., threatening to have his own Who Dat shirts printed and dared the league to sue him.

U.S Rep.Charlie Melancon, D-La., who is running against Vitter this fall, posted an online petition to get angry Saints fans and others to sign to get the league to back down.

    LMAO at this...

Sung to "The Devil Went Down to Georgia"

The devil went down to New Orleans lookin to steal Drew Brees.
He was in a bind & way behind because Hell was fixin to freeze.

The Devil says, "Now you play pretty good football boy, but give the devil his due.
I'll bet your soul you lose the superbowl because Peyton is better than you".

Brees says, "I like Manning & the boy is very good,
but the Saints are taking this one son for all our fans in the hood."

Now Shockey's warming up his knee & Drew plans to throw it hard
The Colts won't know what hit them when they can't even gain a yard.

Now the fans are invading Miami, bringing all that they can bring.
Screw Mardi Gras this year folks "Who Dat" is what they sing.

So devil you can talk to the hand & you know what you can do with your sin
Go back Home & put on your coats - BECAUSE THE SAINTS ARE GOING TO WIN!
