Rich, Good luck on finally getting the blower on there. I know you have been waiting an awfully long time. Can't wait to see the pics and the results.
buicks hi carl nice parking job in you pic:TU: is the red one a soft top? that would cushion the top one if it was to fall  just kidding, nice cars, almost had 2 skylarks myself but my "big" brother flipped my hardtop and when towtruck flipped it back the wrecked the roof decided not to save, good thing it wasnt my softtop would still be scraping bro off the seats :spank: andy
And also the solid floats are preferred over the brass floats. The brass floats can collapse under boost. Jim Burek
Do any changes have to be made to the transmission (either TH350 or TH400) to handle the pressure through the vacuum modulator? -Bob Cunningham
This is more of a problem with a suck through the carb, like with carbs sitting on top of a roots style blower, the power valve will always be under a vacuum. Jim Burek p.a.e. enterprises
On the ATI Procharger set-up we used on a chevelle several years back , I did not do anything special for the vac. modulator. The trans still sees vac conditions under light throttle. They do make a set-up that mixes boost and vac for the modulator, I'm not sure who makes it, a friend of mine has one on his blown 377 datsun p/u. I have also seen a mechanical set=up, much like a tv cable designed for blower applications. On the t-400's I put into Grand Nationals, I do a little trick to with the modulator, but if I told you, I'd have to kill you. Jim Burek P.A.E. ENTERPRISES
Well Fellas........ The Bracket is stuck in Transit. From what I can telll, it should be here Monday. That puts me installing it around the end of next week ( I may play hookie at work one night :Brow: ). Anyway, I'll post picks next week. and give some crude # differances that should get better along the way from tunning.
Alec, Yes the red one, actually I believe it is coppermist, is a conv. It still needs to be restored, but it has always been a great dependable car.
Thanks Guys, With any due luck, it should be on and running this week. I'll keep you all posted as well as take pic's when I can.
:TU: Got the Bracket, Pulley / hub addapter and all the hardware including a blow off valve today! Everything I need (hopefully) to get this thing up and boosting. Now I just need my weekend to come.......... I have a feeling it's going to be like a kid waiting for Christmas
I am thinking of doing a forced induction setup sometime in the future also, either supercharged or twin turbo using TA's EFI. Does anyone sell a turbo exhaust manifold, or would you have to run headers w/ a custom flange? I've always heard using turbos w/ headers isn't a good idea since the header can't support the weight of the turbo when heated.
Others will follow...... I may be able to sneek out while the boys are sleeping before work to install some. If that's the case, I'll post a few more pics tonight.
