Ok, so literature isn't your forte........but apparently neither is profiling. Never owned a gun in my life. And 750,000,000 rounds of ammo? Not that paranoid. You can tell me to lighten up all you want, but I can't help but be a little uneasy when people like you believe that a badge = flawless.

Oh no...you got me all wrong, I know of no one who is flawless, badge or not. I just love armchair cops, that's all! If you "HATE authority" and the "authoritarian society" which you claim we live in...there are other options for you. :Do No:

And hey I'm sorry, but you sound a little too high and mighty. I count many a LEO as a friend. They can't seem to stand the same things I can't stand with some folk and the badge they wear and how they throw their authority around. THAT I don't care for. I am glad you posted a name in your sig though. Ya should know by now we're a friendly bunch.:TU: :beer

Yeah.....my "Got yer Shot" thread got locked and that was just about public health

I love a good police officer that enjoys serving the public and making the world a better place......my neighbor the local 2nd term Sheriff and 25 year ISP road trooper is a good example(and friend)......:TU: :3gears: :3gears: :3gears:

Do you still have your '73 Stage1 4 speed Gran Sport that was in Hemmings Muscle Machines magazine? That's a great car!

What's wrong with having 750,000,000 rounds of ammo?:Do No:

Haha...absolutely nothing, and as hard as it is to get nowadays you could probably make some good coin on it! I'm not a big gun guy, I only blast off a few rounds once or twice a year when it's time to re-qualify. I don't hunt either, but have some friends that are always trying to buy my extra, leftover ammo from the range.:blast:

Man, no, but I miss it. It's in the loving care of our good friend Mr. Phil Roitman. He's Mr. '73, and it couldn't have gone to a better home. The '69 has always been my fave, so that's my "weapon of choice" now...and I finally found the right one. :TU: I considered selling it to buy a "done" car, but realized I would never be happy with anything less than what I have. As many of my friends here have told me, I finally "came to my senses".

I don't know, but all of us mods are watching this thread with baited breath. So far you boys haven't quite crossed the line, but you are stepping on it...

I personally carry a Glock 23. Smaller frame fits my hand better and, even though it's not a .45, the .40 S&W round still packs quite a punch.

Hopefully not long. :Dou: I mean, even someone who can't stop talking actually has to stop eventually. I think. :error:

    Bill,
The answer to that is probably NO. We tried for that when all the sh** hit the fan originally and they refused to do anything about it. We even threatened to relocate our suggested hotels out of Licking County if something wasn't done and they would not budge.

Regardless of how I or anyone else feels about all this (and I plan on "marking the spot" where the speed camaras were personally when I go back) the bottom line is whoever got a ticket broke the law.

Do I think it's fair? NO
Do I think it's fair the tickets were $100? NO
Is there anything we can do about this? Again the answer is NO.

To be honest we, as in the BPG, should be commended for trying to do something about this from the beginning, and kudos to Jim Lore for going out of his way to help.

So that's where we're at and if that's not the answer everyone wants to hear then the only thing I can say is I,m sorry.

PS. While I'm at it, this thread started out as a good informational thread by some people that had a problem and were looking for help finding solutions. It has now turned into trash with a bunch of people pounding on their own pulpits. You all should be ashamed of yourselves.

What's there to be ashamed of? Just some friendly verbal jousting.:Do No: :beer

Duane, you sound like a cop...

    And $100 a ticket is outrageous!!!:spank:

I agree with my boy Poppaluv...on all three counts! If they shut this thread down that would just be off the deep end authoritarianism!!! :Smarty:

And did I mention, I HATE THE TRAFFIC CAMERAS! :beers2:

Duane, please don't be ashamed, we all love you so much (seriously). :ball: We're just having fun.

Duane, I can get you on if you need a job! I can see it now...

Officer Duane: "Sir, I am throwin' the book at you! Don't you know it's a felony to have those Pontiac sport mirrors on that Buick?"

Poor Buick Schmuck: "But sir, they looked the same in the pictures on eBay, please give me a break."

Officer Duane: "I am givin' you a break son, you're just lucky I'm not charging you with the incorrect angled door handles too! And, I might add, if you'd have bought my BOOK, you might not have found yourself in this mess!!!"

(Duane, this is intended to be humorous :Brow: )

Believe me I have no problem with humor. My point is this thread was started to have a meaningful discussion about a specific topic.

If all you guys want to do is joke around that's fine, just have the decency to do it somewhere else, and not on a topic that I am involved in. Your so called "humor" has nothing to do with solving the problems of the people involved here.

PS. I have already been called one of the "Restoration" Police.
