I've been saying that for years. I'm glad you had the same results with it that I've experianced. It will be interesting to see what you run once the weather cools down a bit. :TU:
Well, you'll have to wait just a bit longer. Yesterday, with the help of Jason Cook (Buick64270), and his tubing bender and SnapOn flare kit, we made lines for the Q-jet and Holley. I have one line from the pump to a position behind the distributor, where there is a small billet fuel filter (professional products). From there Jason bent 2 separate lines, one for the Q-jet, and one for the Holley. This way I can go between the 2 carbs and just disconnect by the filter. Next weekend, I'll put the Holley on and deal with any remaining linkage and vacuum connections. Thanks to Jason, and I now have official J Cook Fuel lines:TU: :Brow:
I think I see a spec of dirt under the hood in there ... no, wait - it was just a bad reflection :bla:
Larry, I made my fuel line almost exactly like yours. Don't let anyone tell you it won't flow enough fuel!
Gotta have them J Cook fuel lines! p No, Larry started to get very nervous when I put the exam gloves on:eek2:

No, I haven't driven it with the AED carb. I plan to put it on this weekend. Right now, Jason has it. His motor is being broken in and dyno'd with the AED I need to do a few things with the linkage and vacuum connections. The only way I'm really going to know anything is at the track. This weekend for sure.
Alan, Maybe we are too tough on Larry. o No: He really seems to enjoy taking pictures of his new parts. :kodak: Ok... no more Larry abuse, I swear. That is a nice hard line setup. I did somewhat the same thing with tube nuts and sleeves with AN fittings. Larry it really does look really good, as usual you do nice work and we really appreciate your willingness to help anyone here. To bad you guys can't be in MI this week to help show some Buick muscle on Woodward.
Mine may not look as pretty but you still got some goin' to lay down before I break a sweat uzzled:  ...oops I spoke too soon o No: ou:
Admit it Alan!, you're sweating now, and you know it:laugh: :bla: I was talking to JW at the Nats, he seemed to think I would at least be down in the low 12's and maybe in the high high 11's on a really good day. There's only 2 1/2 tenths between us on the same dayuzzled:
If you don't already know, you can flip the standard bracket around backwards and it works pretty well with a Holley-style carb. You may want a spare so you can modify it a little.
Thanks Adam, I have the Holley part # 20-88. It bolts to the rear carb stud, and includes dual throttle return springs. Lines up perfectly. I didn't know you could flip the stock bracket around.
