go ahead lock it down...stifle discussion of the things that are really going to affect us vintage car owners and motorsports enthusiast's....it's in your state....we have been missing an "Overlord" for a while now...delete my threads....i will accept it if JW does it...it's his site.....but i can't think of any thing that affects us Buick owners more than this topic....shut it down...you got the power...we got nothing to stop you..... Peace as always my friends ! WildBill p.s...ya all better get with the program
.....actually this thread is very Buick specific if you actually think about the broader scope of things this law will mean to the old car hobby in the very near future...but a lot of us here will be DEAD....but not our kids and grandkids.... Peace WildBill ok...i am done
‘There he goes, one of God’s own prototypes. A high powered mutant of some kind, never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.’ Hunter S. Thompson (Love you, Bill!) Patrick
It's hard to see what the future will hold but when gas went from .79 a gallon in the early 80s to over a dollar I thought I will never be able to own/drive a car. Things have a way of working out. No freaking kidding! Years back someone on this sight had a signature that was close to this: When's the last time you heard someone say, go ahead it's a free country. I sure used that line a lot in the mid to late 70s. Back when a lot of us rode pedal bikes and life was truly simpler. We've complicated things for ourselves and our children in the name of greed, sorry I meant progress. I appreciate many of the worlds advances. But as someone mentioned Tesla, read about his tragic life. Holy h e double hockey sticks many of his ideas died because he offered a better way AND that was at the expense of someone else's wealth. WildBill is right, this is relevant. Meanwhile we'll create a diversion over hear and flood your airwaves with some BS while the real pillaging of our freedoms occur without resistance.... So much for keeping my mouth shut........
Nothing wrong with everyone getting this out I am sure everyone is worried about our old cars being taken off the highway. This thread might not be Buick related completely but at the same time everyone needs to get this off their chest so don't lock it yet. I saw TV show just the other day that showed how Buffet, the Koch brothers, and Blackrock all had their hand in keeping the solar panels from being used most of it was going on in Nevada. They all own a piece of what we use/ need This is all deeper than we know just got to keep pushing foreward and not worry about this. Drive the Buick before you can't lol We probably won't be around for the end result and if we are we will be too old to care. This actually does relate to us, as you all remember in 1971 they crushed the performance mkt with our now emission friendly cars and it took about 15 years to get that junk off the motor and get fuel injection with the Buick Turbo and Mustangs after 1985 and now we got the best of both better emissions and HP now so here we go again time to tell us we need more emissions and you now need an electric car. Will we have to record Nasty camshafts so we can play it back on our electric car? They will be fast but nothing for the ear to hear but a whine Bummer
Patrick.......i LOVE YOU LIKE A BROTHER ! I got yer tickets and a free room in Nashville for String the Halls III if you can make it ! Peace WildBill
Isn’t that the point of “ the bench “? Off topics and has the highest post count by far . Nothing wrong with offering alternatives , but they’re coming 100 % for our petrol classics . Seems relevant .
Yes this thread is relevant because it relates to our cars and the hobby... JW has made his point clear thought, see below:
If I had an acre of land I would make a stihl. Or distilery. Learn how to make alchol for fuel. Every small town should have one at least distilery for making alcahol fuel.
It's all a radical agenda. Crystal clear as day. It would be possible to integrate alternative fuels into society in a long term, strategic way, if integrating alternative fuels and environmental safety was "really" this concern here. But like what has been said, there's no infrastructure in place to support banning fossil fuels and it would appear that this is not real important to these radicals in the first place. The immediate task at hand is controlling people by limiting their choices and freedoms. And we can't ever expect the elites to practice what they preach. We all know they won't and don't.
That's okay we can print more money to pay for it or borrow more money from China. Either that or just pull an extra 20% from your pay check. Problem solved.
I drive a vehicle everyday that gets 35mpg......i feel like i am trying to do my part. Peace WildBill
Saw a bumper sticker the other day that read- "I bet my carbon footprint is bigger than your carbon footprint" I want one for my Buick! After all, I want the world to remember me for something other than being a controversial ahole.
