Joe is that the Eastwood ceramic 2K, or just their Chassis paint? Looks great so far! PS - How much to rent that rotisserie when you're done?
Morning Ant. Yes it's the new 2K ceramic paint. Looks great!! We'll talk later about the rotisserie. Not sure how long i'll need it myself. Only 945.00 brand new. And I don't need another engine, as much as I want it, I don't have room!! I'm off my rocker. I'd love to get a 340 in stock though. Call me if you want to talk.
JOE,YOUR A MADMAN!!!Whats in those calzones your eating?ou: Aint ya gonna box those lower control arms?Great progress!!!:TU:
Satin. I need more paint though. So order extra paint. The kit they offer isn't enough to do a frame and a bunch of parts. So I had to order an extra quart and the activator.
Yea you know, day night whatever!!!!:Brow: I allready got my extra paint from eastwood!!! I ordered it yesterday afternoon and it came today!!!!! Holy bejebbers!!!!
Here you go JC. Here's my update. I will be heating up my tent this afternoon to get it a little warm inthere and we're going to put the final coat of paint on the frame and suspension parts. Yipee!!! Frame should be done tonite.:bglasses:
275/40/17 Look great! And fit good, even had a little room left under there. Maybe a little less than an inch.
So I got everything painted today.:beers2: All the parts, the rear and the frame. Looks great. I'll post pics tomorrow.:TU:
No but it's getting a little slow for me. I'm the new guy in a new barn and the work doesn't make it all the way down to me. So I am taking advantage of this time. I think I can have the chassis all done and reassembled in about a week or so. Then comes the body!!
Wait! You're not doing all this AND getting paid are you?! I thought you were my hero before - now I KNOW you are my hero!
Man oh man I wish I was getting paid. In my union, no work no pay! But thats fine. Just glad to have the time and decent weather to get this ball rolling!! I'm going outside to take some pics of the painted frame.
Update: We put in 6 hours today. Spent the day pretty much just cleaning and painting bolts. We did get started on the assembly. Ran into a few bumps: Need to find my idler arm.It was ordered. Have to get the control arm bumpers. And solve the rear pumpkin bushing mystery. Here's pics.
The bump stops are available. The front lower control arms, the upper arm bumps and the rear axle bumps are all readily available.
