Walt Tamraz has em but they want 200 to ship. Since I now see I need 3 total panels, I might as well drive o Hatfield and pick em up.

Hey Brian; You remember that '65 Skylark i've been tearing apart and shipping Joe all the junk off of it? This same guy has an old rusted out '64 convert. He ordered it and watched it go down the line. Well it's all rusted out but still has the running gear. 355, 4 Speed, 3:55 posi rear. I've been trying to talk him out of it but he's pretty well dug in. I know I would be too if it's been mine since new. He want's to sell it to someone who'll restore it. I think it's too far gone for that tho. It need's rear quarters and everything to the front bumper. I'll keep you posted.

    Ponch,

I would kick all of the other projects aside to get that one. Let me know. Keep me in mind if the guy breaks loose with it. I have plenty of parts to get that back together. Even some good quarters and fenders and rust free door!!

Do you still have my phone number Ponch? I'll shoot you my home number. I didn't have a phone at the house until 6 months ago.

Sorry to Hijack the thread Joe.

If you don't mind my asking, what does a soda blast like this typically cost?
    Thanks

Seems like it was definitely worth$1,200.

What do you suppose it would cost to have a frame & suspension components blasted and powder coated?

    Thanks

I got some quotes a few years ago in the Philly area for blasting and PC of frame...varied from $600 to $1000. Suspension components might add a couple hundred.
Prices vary WIDELY. Check your local yellow pages if you have a phone book (remember those? ), or www.yp.yahoo.com to search in your area.

So Joe, how are you makin' out with the 65 and all this crappy weather?
I've been spending some time in my basement shop....starting to do a rebuild on my '79 regal. Hope to have it on the road next year!

SinceI had the body soda blasted in december, it's been sitting in my garage waiting for money.

Ok so I ordered the sheet metal from Performance Years. 65 GTO stuff. 1 piece trunk pan, trunk filler panel and one driver side floor patch panel.

Six freaking hundred eighty eight dollars!! Without shipping because they are about an hour and a half away from me. If I had to pay shipping it would have been a few hundred more!!!

I should have the parts in a week or so.:bla:

Can't believe 3 years has past already. The sheet metal is all in finally. Looking good too, nothing like a new trunk!!!! I will get some pics soon.

Glad to see your still into it Joe. It takes time to do it right. Way more time to save up the cash for it. It was good hearing from you a bit ago. I thought you must have disappeared. I haven't been in touch with my buddy with both Skylarks in about a Year. I'll have to call. Things haven't been going well and it's hard to do just about Anything. But I'll keep pushing and get it touch with Him. I'll check on His '64 as well. Take Care Man.

Well I had no money then I had money but needed to do my kitchen, which I had to do a total rip out and rebuild, then I got real busy working and now the kitchens done and the building will commence.

Who wants to come help wire wheel all the parts and paint em up? Any volunteers?

Sorry if I offended you Bob. It wasn't my intention. I assume someone set me up when I got cut.

The manual is yours of coarse and i would never take it back. If there's anything I can do for you just ask.

P.S. I wasn't expecting anyone to cone help I was just teasing.
