Body shop still working on it. Once its assembled and primed I'll take more pics. Thanks for the compliment. Harvey
I have already put my B'InLaw on notice that I'm going to need his trailer. I will be at the Open, but it's doubtful the car will be there under it's own power. Go Packers!! Harvey
Have you found that when they body is painted on the newly painted frame that the frame gets over-spray on it too easily? Hopefully they will mask everything off perfectly.
Hi Guys Yes, the frame will be masked but even if some overspray gets onto the frame it is easily covered with a spray can. But I believe to be 100% correct, there should be some overspray on the frame as this was common from the factory. The wheels are 17 X 7. I did fit them on my other 67 and they were fine. The 2" lowering springs aren't going to affect the fitment. Thanks for looking. The next photos will be when it's painted. Yeah! Harvey
I didn't know they painted the bodies on the frames, thought they would've been painted separately, then put together.
New pics - inners painted This time next week it should be back home where it belongs. Then the "fun" will begin.
Finally rolled out of the paint shop!! Coming home Saturday and then the real fun begins. Harvey
Thanks. The painter claims he used the codes for the original 67 Skylark red. Don't know for sure, but it looks a little more orangey than original. But I love the shade of red that it is. Harvey
Car looks FANTASTIC! You really can't beat a red convertible for looks IMHO. Just curious though.....Why didn't he paint the inner trunk panel and tail light surround black like it's supposed to be.
I'm going to do the black trunk panel myself. I didn't want to bother him with more "Oh, I forgot about one other item". It's easy to do, besides what's one more little item on my to do list. It's already a toilet paper roll long!
Power train pics Took these before installing. Also got the 4 wheels discs and the hydraulic clutch installed today.
