It looks like I may be only able to bring 1 car, the wife may not make it. Which one to bring? I thought about a tow package on the GS? o No: Maybe that wouldn't be a good idea?? Gas would be a killer. Anyone have any thoughts?:Comp: :Comp:
You may end up like me. Just have to wait until your son is old enough to drive and let him take a car. Hopefully the GS will be ready for this event. Lost my rear end the other day.
Let Captain Mark drive it if he isn't up and running in time....:Smarty: About the flowers, well, it's a little much for my taste too. Does anyone know where I can get a bikini with a Buick related pattern on it? :Brow: Dee
Awesome. I have one lined up for my 72, but not sure if I'll have it in time. I'm going with a posi unit with 3.55 gears, what did you install??
Ok guys, Time for another update. We have got sponsorship from the BPG and possibly the LSBPC (Lone Star Buick Performance Club) as of right now we are looking to get to the track for setup of our buick area about 11am. We will have BBQ (hotdogs and burgers, chips) if you want something else you are welcome to bring it. We will be coning off the buick area with cones that say buick club on them. The racing starts at 3:30 the time from 11 to 2:30 will be for Bench racing and Meeting people. We will be having a raffle each (only) buick owners will recieve a ticket for showing up in there prized buick. Prizes are as follows for right now. BPG Memberships - BPG TEE Shirts - LSBPC Tee Shirts and possibly more to come. There will be a $50 award givin to the buick that goes furthest in competion at the track. Also One of my good friends will be recording the event on a digital video camera so we will possible have good footage of the buicks racing at this event. If you have any questions feel free to email me or PM me on this board. See ya'll in 22 days:TU:
Phil, Thanks for the update and your work on this. Made reservations this a.m for son (Jarrod) and I at the Great Western Inn for Sat. nite. We plan to have my '66 GS and his '67 GS400 there. Steve
Taking a pole.... Just wondering who is staying Friday night and who is staying Sat. night or who will be around both nights. Trying to figure out if we want to make reservations for both nights or just one. Also still trying to find out who we might be able to hook up with for the drive down. :beer Dee
I was going to leave Friday evening and come back home Saturday evening, but there has been a change of plans. I won't be bringing the GN, I just blew the tranny and it probably won't have it ready in time. So I am going to drive the GS down on Saturday morning, leaving around 8 or 9am and depending on how late everything runs I may or may not stay over Saturday night.
Ouch!!! Sorry to here about the tranny David. I just put a new rear end in the big block, so I know how you feel..............broke!!
Well I did just speak my Mechanic about the tranny and maybe it's not as bad as first thought? Will try to get it over to him tomorrow so you never know it could be ready in time? o No: Dee, when are you going to leave? Do you want to hook up on Saturday morning?
David i would consider the race starting @ 3:30 in your judgement. It will probably be a late night. just my opinion. 19 days guys and our lady DEEEE.
