Off topic, but just to let you Houston area guys know, a new 1/8th mile track just opened near Angleton (45 miles south of the Astrodome on Hwy 288, towards Freeport). Haven't been there, but from what I read in the paper, the track is all concrete, and it has received IHRA sanctioning. Sounds like the setup is pretty basic so far. They are using port-a-cans until they receive approval for a septic system from the county. I think they are currently only running on Friday nites. Phone number is 979.549.0311. It's called "Angleton Dragway". Couple that with the recent groundbreaking for the NASCAR-style complex 10 miles north of Angleton (on Hwy 288) and you would think we are becoming the next Indy!!! Hey gsman66, Doesn't your son live in Austin with his 67 GS 400?!?! Maybe you could make a weekend out of it and visit a little with your new grandaughter!!! I might even clean out the garage so your car could fit in there with mine.

I defenitly agree. I wish it was september as well. I will say we planned to put this out a few months early that way the word could be passed to non computer folks as well. if you know anyone who fits in this category let them know about our little get together. Thank for making this easier guys.
Texas Racing!! Not sure yet but if there are no conflicts with NMCA or PRO races, I may come down to Temple and race with you'll that weekend. I have a daughter and granddaughters that live in Temple and it would make a great trip. I have just retired and if I don't start a new job by then it would be a great time to visit.
