    Looks Like Everyone Had Fun!!

Would have liked to have made this event. Have family in Temple. Instead we went to Columbus Ohio and ran the NMCA World Finals at National Trails. Had a great weekend just lost a close race first round which is no fun. Hope you can get this event to growing and would like to come down and run it. If it had been a week or two later could have made it. Off work a couple of weeks starting Friday. Anyway, great job and hope this event can grow.
    Thanks;

Yes, t-shirts!!! I bought a BPG "T" so I'd have something to commemorate the occasion. Would have rather spent $15 on an event t-shirt. Us "low buck" people live in T's.

Will be looking for T's at the event in April! :Smarty:

jim we will give you a heads up when the next event is going to be held as it looks now we are going for twice a year april and september. So we will see there is a few changes that will have to be made to make this happen so planning is our next goal.

I will be getting with the track promoter in January for a scheduele so we are on hold till then. However that does not mean we cannot planout the event so everything falls much smoother.

Here's one suggestion for next time:
I recall hearing that the original plan was to fire up the grill again around dinner time, but that never happened. I'm sure everyone who wasn't racing was enjoying watching, but since it was the plan, maybe next time we can get some volunteers to ensure it happens.

Nick I heard someone say that. I think there was intention to do it . I had never planned to do so. But hey we can do that too. Just need people to stepup to BBQ.

    Nicholas, excellent avatar picture!!!

I'm sure I won't be racing next time unless I get my Z28 up and going. If someone will ask me to volunteer, I'm sure I'd be happy to help. Sometimes I can be kind of blonde and not think to ask if someone might need some help. :Dou:

While thinking about the BBQ, What do ya'll think about doing a Pot luck. Main course will still be burgers and Hotdogs. But will allow a wider array of food to be consumed. Thank Ya'll for your thoughts

I like the pot luck idea, although potential items may be limited by the need to travel 3-4 hours and storage/reheating at the site.

I was gonna fire up the grill again later, but all that dang racing got in the way!

We will definitely need a non-racer to cook later in the day.

Our car may not be ready by April but the grill sure as hell will be. Plus I love grilling almost as much as eating grilled stuff. Usually fire up the lil propane grill at least 3 times a week for Salmon or Orange Ruffy fillets. Saturday was ribeye though. Woohoo! We're a long ways off but I'd sure like to volunteer myself as grill master.

Also me an a buddy have fed close to 100 people burgers, sausage & a few steaks out of the 50 gallon drum grill so we have a good idea how much meat it takes to handle a bulk feeding frenzy. ;)

Hey Jason, We may take you up on the offer. If not you still need to come down and enjoy the festivities.

Fantastic. I can't tell you how happy the prospect of not having to wait till next september makes me. If I had a car to run I'd be starting the smacktalk already in order to bait my chevy driving friends into coming. Wait a tic.. I'll bait em anyways. :)

    Later on
