OK, here we go. Did a job for Jim Ramsey this week and he shows me all his cars and parts etc. etc. He has a 72 GS 455 Conv. that he's restoring. It's a SCO car with a 43-A paint code (Sea Mist Green). He sends the car off to the body shop to get it painted Sea Mist and it comes back Lime Mist! Oops! He asked me to poll V8 Buick to see what everyone thinks. Let me mention, if I got it right that the SCO was for Bucket seats, and floor shift and not the Paint. I think thats it.
I don't but somsone here should. I know what it looks like ; saw one just last week...so I voted for Sea Mist, plus it's what the car is supposed to be from the factory.
Sea mist should have more blue in it. I think. I don't know. Is there gonna be any stripes or thing s put on the car??? Maybe if he gets the paint job free or at cost for the mistake, it could be worked with. Kind of green. Id stop payment on any checks just in case.
???????? Hard to tell from the Pics you provided. My car is Seamist, and doesn't look like yours. Kens car is Limemist and doesn't look like yours either. Tough to call color based upon those pictures... but it looks like the body work came out nicely! FYI China Mikes GS is Seamist
The color on Jim's car doesn't look the same as Ken's GSX. I like Ken's color a lot. I'm sorry I can't say the same about Jim's. o No:
Greeeeeeeeen! That's the color the car should be! The door jambs and inside here and there are that color. Thanks Steve!
I'd be pissed if I spent big money on a paintjob and they did the wrong color. I'd say "fix it or it better be free!".
