The list keeps on a growing yall

And the hits just keep on a coming. More sponsors for the race yall, this is gonna be fun. We now can add TA Performance and Heartland Transmissions to our list of folks that are gonna be helping us out.

Everyone in the Buick family BETTER now Mike and Sherri at TA Perf.(if not, GET OUT FROM UNDER THE ROCK,lol). A BIG thanks to Mike and Sherri for helping out again this year.

Heartland Trans. is owned and operated by one of our own Buick friends right in Kearney, and is also who is doing my tranny for the 64'. Scott King is the man and a BIG thanks to him.

    The List:

    TA Performance,- Mike and Sherri.
    Heartland Trans. - Scott King.
    P.A.E., - Jim Burek.
Gessler Head porting, - Greg Gessler.
    Tri-Shield Performance, - Jim Weise.
Evans racing engines, - Charlie Evans.
    Left Hand trailers.- John Conilogue
    and The B.P.G.

Getting the flyers done is now my number one concern(even over my own car completion). Look for them the end of the week sometime. The good Lord willing and the creek don't rise, we're gonna get this done.....

    OK guys and gals,

Just another quick one to let yall know that I have 2 more phone calls to make tommorrow and I am afraid I am gonna have to close the window on the sponsors. At the rate I'm going I could do this clear up to race day. And as most of you know, we do have a few other things that I need to focus on also. Trust me I wish I could just sit and contact sponsors and such, but I need to get a few other things done too.

Just as soon as I can I will post the payouts for our deal so yall know whats up for grabs so to speak. All I ask is that you remember, I'm a 1 man gang on this now,and I do have a life to keep up with. Payouts may not be much for the first few years, BUT I think you'll be a little happy with what you win. Well, I hope you that are lucky enough to win, are happy. Other than that I want everyone to have a good time.:beer .

More info in the next few days I hope. And I havent even touched my car yet. I gotta get this done so I have a little time.

jeff bullock Dare to be different !!!

Damn guys , It looks as though this is turning out to be a hell of a gathering that I wish I could attend but circumstances made things a little hard for me to get there from Texas instead of Des Moines like I had originally planned !! However it was worth it and there will be plenty of racing and warm weather down here but I will miss the chance to meet a bunch of you guys like I had hoped for in the beginning !!!Have fun racing and camping and maybe next year will be a better chance for me to try and besides I'll have a significant other that shares the same Buick interests that I do not to mention a 70 Skylark Custom Conv. of her own !!!Jeff Bullock :TU:

    Hello All ,

Wasn't I supposed to be posting something here ??  .

Jeff. Sorry you aren't gonna be able to make it man. I was looking forward to meeting you. Maybe next year you'll be able to make it up.

In regards to the race yall. I have given our info and sponsor list to Mike Atwood. He has agreed to get us (hopefully) a downloadable flyer on here, for all to print and pass out. I would like to ask that yall print out a couple and toss them in your vehicles. If you happen on a Buick somewhere, toss one under the wiper. Who knows, :Do No: , might get us a car or two that wouldnt have come otherwise. And we can introduce them to a 7 second V-6 and a 9 second street car(Hi Mike).

I need another shout out from anyone that is gonna pull in on friday night. I know John S. said he was gonna try to. I will be there. We can get the gate open yall just like last year. I just need to know......

How about you Colo. guys Conilogue ? Have yall decided what your doing other than coming down hill, and letting us turn the "MAN KILLER"(HI Cindi, lol) loose on ya ? Haven't heard from yall lately...........How about you too Ken Nissan. I know there are a few of yall "lerkin'" around and watching. OR have yall gone into "double secret" meetings about jet sizes and gear choices ? :error: HA HA I crack myself up sometimes..............

Anyways...............Times a coming yall. In the words of AC/DC.... ARE YOU READY FOR A GOOD TIME ??

I have the mankillers car ready for a rematch with any of the racers that she stomped a mud hole into AND I go first!! Surely she cant woop me 2 years in a row!!!

I will be there Friday night and ready for a few cool ones. I will post an ad in the papers here in Lincoln. After breaking in the cam today I'm pumped and can't wait to get to the track. OK Dave, I will have exhaust, plates, interior and lights so it will meet the Garrison streetcar criteria. :Smarty:

    DANG Mike,

You beat me here man. I was gonna come in and warn the gang that it was done and coming up. But BOOM !!! you beat me to the punch. There it is guys, copy them if you want and pass them out. I think we got all the info on them. If not just let me know and we'll see what we can do to fix it.

A BIG "Thank You" to Mike for doing this in a pinch. But I needed to get you guys a flyer to show off.

Todd - thanks for the heads up man I will be there Friday too. I am thinking around 6 ish' for myself(and hopefully the car, lol). Garrison style street car huh ? :Dou: Not another one......what is it a "sickness" ?

Mike G. - So you have the "mankillers" ride ready. Are you getting her fired up too ? You know, like feeding her raw meat and making her mean ? . AND..........I hope she doesn't happen to wander in here and see the "she can't woop me 2 years..." comment. She may get all kinds of fired up and just lay the smack down on all of us guys. :ball: . But at least you volunteered to be first, lol.

    Thanks Again to Mike Atwood.................

Just being a gentleman ?????   Well put Mike. BUT, from the talks that were going on yesterday at Mikes house, He isn't about being a "gentleman" anymore... Sounded to me like he's loading for Kearney and heading up to do some business ! Also in regards to being a gentleman to the "mankiller"....I prolly would have to take a sec before I raced her. Shes quick ! And I wouldn't want to be another victim.. (Hi Cindi).

Moving on.....I am trying to figure out the payouts for this deal now. I think I have a plan and it looks pretty good. For any of you that are watching(and I know you are), and are coming for the open class(non-Buick). Keep in mind that this is set up for the the Buick family predominantly(sp). Thus, their payouts are gonna be higher. In fact I have a couple sponsors that have asked that their donation be "earmarked" for the Buicks ONLY. I told them NO Problem and that IS the way it will be.

I have a couple more bills to pay and then I should be able to post the payouts for yall to see. We got a little over a month to go..............Are you Ready ??????????? (i'm not, lol).

Copy off some flyers guys and get the word out there. We are gonna have some fun NO MATTER WHAT ! Think about it, the money is spent and I can't get it back. We have some things to give away in regards to donations, and I doubt the generous folks that sent them want me to send them back to them. We have a "crew" from Colo. making the pull for the first time this year. John S., our BPG Vice-chairman, is gonna try and come out again with the Opel. Team "G." will be coming in from Topeka as usual. And the track manager is ready for us to return big time! I think he really had a good time last year.:pp . Anyways........so what do yall say, may as well show up, have a good time, and meet some of the friends you made last year.

I am sure Garrison would bring his cooker again. Maybe we could arrange a little BBQ by donation thing. What I am thinking is Kris, Rachael(sp mike g.?),maybe Karrie too(not sure if shes racing or watchin' though, John C.?). Maybe we just start a "kitty" for food and send the girls in to spend the $$$. I know I don't do the food shopping thing well, thats Kris' dept. Anyways. the track is gonna be open all day so we could do it that evening after we're done too. Good excuse to sit around and visit after a day at the races. "The post race grillin'". Let me know what yall think ????????:Do No: :Do No:

And if ANYONE has ANY questions please feel free to ask me. I will do my best to help if I can .........................

    Worked on mine...

Mike, try going to Adobe reader. That is what it defaulted to on mine. It looks really good on paper too. I think Cindy may keep it as a momento of "The Light Seen 'Round the World" since it is in the top corner and now in print for all to see!!!:Brow:

    Grillin'

Are we talkin' about grillin' Friday night? I would think that would be the night because there will be some serious cruisin' to do Sat. night with Kearney having its' own little Americruise. Besides, what can be better than the 3 B's.......Buick's, beef, and beer. :Brow:

    P.D.

p.s. Three fliers handed out today and two more emailed.

    Re: Grillin'

    P.D.,

I was talking about Saturday night myself. I didn't think about the cruising to be done after the racing. And I just kinda figured those of us that show up Friday are gonna have to eat then too so I just kinda took that for granted. I am sure we will be grillin' something on Friday unless anyone has some suggestions about a Buick food attack at a local eatin' place. Open to suggestions on this yall lets hear it. Saturday ? Friday ? Both ? neither ? Its up to yall doesn't bother me. I was just trying to think ahead a bit...:Do No: ...

GOOD JOB on the flyers to man, and a big THANKS from me personally. Thats the way we get the word out there, just do it ! If we want this event to grow (and not have a Garrison in every final, ) we are gonna have to let the folks know. I have a feeling I may be surprised this year in regards to my projected turn out. But I want to be SHOCKED!!! :eek2:   Shocked to the point I won't have time to race my own car(if i get the junker runnin',lol) Keep up the good work yall :TU:

    grillin

How about we fire up the grill during the lunch break on Sat.

I like the idea of chipping in a few bucks and have someone hit the local supermarket to get some burgers, brats, dogs, chips etc,etc,etc...............

I think this would be easier than doing a potluck kind of thing.

    Eric,

Thats fine too man. I was just tossin' out ideas to yall. I will sit back and watch this I think for awhile. I want you all to have fun at this deal so , You all decide. I will be there of course all weekend, and I will do whatever yall want to do...

Do we have any friday campers out there yet ? Kinda would like a number to give the track guys and gals. :Do No: I think we should be a go on the camping. I'm just wondering how many may be there ?

OK yall I am sitting back and watching nothing here:grin: Can I assume we don't need to eat, lol. Well..........how about this.....................

Mike Garrison:Smarty: Will you be bringing your BBQ ??????? And if so what is your projected arrival time ? I was thinking you told me Friday night right ? Gates are gonna be open and I know that Todd and I are gonna be there having a few :beer . I think the Colo. gang is coming in on Friday as well as John S. If you can get there in time we will do the collection/donation and blood run to the local store for the needed supplies for a friday evening deal. P.D. I know your gonna be there right ???

Saturday will be a figure it out deal. Not sure if the track kitchen will be running. I "think" that is what we decided I will double check and let you all know.

So ............is anybody's car ready ? I know I'm not. And it is looking like I won't have it done. Just got too much going on with work at the post office. And with harvest going on, The shop is full too. I just don't know yet. Still trying but :Do No: Anyways....

I would have liked to see a little more motion outa the thread with the dates getting closer............................

.............IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE ?????..........................
