    Hi All

    Dave,:eek2:
WOW didnt think they were cutting corn yet! I beleive they do use a combine to make cilage up here. Never know how you flat landers do it, maybe its all the smoke in your eyes from leaving the lights too late!

Anyway the beer sounds great, I have a better Idea.
Called my brother and talked to his kids. Luke-left Connor-right. Luke said he would run the gas, Connor will drive and when they win. The winnings go to the crowd.:pp

    As always FUN FUN FUN:grin:

Guys, you can count me in. I thought it was a blast last year,(Except for changing my ignition in my in-laws drive at 10 p.m.). I have 2 other guys at least who might bring cars. Just need to convince them that the heat really isn't that bad:grin: . What an awesome job of getting things together:beer .

    Bruce,

i appreciate the interest you have shown, and hope that you can be able to make it out. don't "sweat",lol, the heat. its different everywhere you go as i am sure your well aware. out here its just dry and hot. no real humidity to speak of usually this time a year. give us a shot if you can, and remember, those Colorado boys are the ones that are gonna have to be REAL tuners, lol. ya just can't roll out the mountains and expect to go fast. i know of 1 such gear change that is being arranged as we speak, for this purpose in fact.........HUH mountain man ???? HA HA

    Gears?

    Hi All

Gears who said anything about Gears? I thought it was :beer !
I dont have to work on my car  . As for going fast we all know how hot its going to be, will be like home for us no oxygen anyway.

I have talked with a few of the Rocky Mtn GS Club Members, also some friends about the event. Everyone is interested, looking for some locked down dates/times/# of cars to attened/ and always $$$.

Dave B. is working on that as we speak, I also email a short list of drivers/cars that are looking to come down to the flatland-or shood I say heat!:eek2:

Anyway need to get moving today. Hope all is well, where ever you are!

Lets get the ball rolling on this event, and have great turn out.
Colorado is looking at 15-20 cars, if that helps anyone from the mid-west or USA period to attend please reply to Dave B. or post on this board.
    :)

    Thanks

    Sunday KRP schedule

This is Sundays schedule as relayed to me by the track owners and manager.

    Sunday July 20th:

    8:00 A.M. - gates open,

    9:00 A.M. - time trials begin,

    1:30 P.M. - Eliminations begin,

    KRP classes:

    ...........................entry fee................payouts

    Street Legal..........$35.00...............4 trophies
    Sportsman............$35.00...............4 trophies
    Pro(no elec.).........$45.00...............$400 to win(down 8 places)
    Super Pro..............$55.00...............$800 to win(based on 32 cars)

Hot Rod reunion will be going on the same day.

Reunion entry fee is $25.00 for pre 1979 cars only.

2 classes : factory street legal, and modified.

payouts are a split of $1200 between 2 classes.

spectator fees are $6.00 for the day or $10.00 for the weekend.

the organizers of the hot rod reunion are from a Pontiac club in the area and a few shots have been "fired across the bows" already in regards to the Buicks and Pontiac sharing the same "turf" on Sunday..there is a "street legal"(Garrison style) G.T.O coming that could get into the 9's. are you listening Mike G. ? and also a there is a chance of a 2nd generation camaro coming from Colorado that uses a BUNCH of NOS and is gonna get into the 8"s this year in the thin air of Denver. i am thinking mid 8's outa him at Kearney and he would love to do a little "grudge racing" instead of joining the regualar field.
PERHAPS John Schmidt or Rod Hendrickson could be persuaded to attend and learn him a thing or 2 about Buicks. if anyone would be interested in doing a little "match racing" with these guys let me know and i will get a deal worked up with the track for a 2 outa 3 deal or something:Brow: Just make sure you try and bring enough for these guys.(or at least enough to keep it close for them,:Brow: ).

again..............feel free to contact me with any questions and i will do my best to answer them for ya.

Hope to see yall at Kearney this year for another fun-filled Buick performance weekend.

    Eric,

COOL man looking forward to seeing you there. now all we have to do is get you into a Buick for the deal. werent you talking to Garrison about one of his cars earlier ? not sure which car it was, but knowing Mike, i cant help but think it'll be a good one and maybe run decent enough to make some runs with:Brow: just taking into consideration how Mikes "other" street cars run.lol.

see you in the heat .................

    Guys,

just a reminder to you all in regards to Friday access to the track. I know this is a ways away and all but, if possible i need to know if anyone is interested in Fri. camping at the track as soon as possible so that I can arrange for the gates to be open.

we are working on securing sponsors for the event as of now and i am having fun with that :puzzled: ha ha. i have never got into it this deep before but i am learning.

just to "tease" yall a bit....... we have recieved emails confirming sponsorships from the Buick Performance Group(BPG), Tri-Shield Performance(the boards very own Jim W.), and Evans Racing Engines(Charlie Evans), just to name a few.

This is shaping up to be an exciting day for us all. keep your eyes open for more sponsors, as well as more info to come. We are still working on it yall, and i am getting really excited at what i am seeing in regards to this.
