The V8 KARENS head would explode with those rules.
I doubt many report button pushing members own guns so I can see how that would work there.

 

People that own guns tend to be go-along-get-along types. You have to be that way to own a firearm and not wind up in jail. I can debate and even argue without getting nasty about it.

 

IMHO gun and Harley owners are culture-driven groups. I agree with Greg's statement above.

 

Well I fit both of these. I own/ride a Harley and own firearms.

Good rule of thumb. When you are calling other people names, you are breaking the above stated rule.

 

That's the philosophy here, if not the stated rule.. Make me or the mods pay attention to you by being a jerk, and bad things may happen. Get along and everyone/thing will be fine..

Well it is a different crowd there too. They are a gun fan forum, so naturally guns are promoted.
It is no different than the Buick board really. We all like our Buicks and can agree with that, however when you get off that similar point of view, it is off to the races.
Start asking the gun forum which big block is best, or strongest, or whatever and you will have strong opinions that do not relate to guns.

 

Another difference is when somebody says something here that brings out the Karens, the Karens know the chances that someone might fire a loaded Buick at them are pretty much zero.

 

My basic philosophy on life in 4 words comprised of 17 letters:

"Live and let live".

This precludes one from arguing, calling others down or using childish names, and generally acting like a toddler.
When you don't like something you see, just scroll on by. Something I'm still working on, but improving every day.

It does not preclude adding reasonable, well thought out responses or spicing same with a little humor.

I've ridden a Harley once. Rode Yamaha motorcycles for several years. Even went to NYC with one in 1980.

Fired various guns, including some WW2 military weapons as a teenager.
Want some fun? Try firing a late 19th or very early 20th century, Damascus twist barrel side by side 12 gauge with modern shells. We chickened out on trying 3 inch magnums.
No comment on gun ownership.

Not even close, Jason. The absurdity of my statement should have indicated the humorous intent behind it. I’m a gun owner. I’m former Air Force. I didn’t believe my statement was plausible towards an incitement to any level of violence. If that’s your takeaway from it, I fully accept responsibility for any offense you may have felt, and a promise to you that you’ll never read any remotely questionable statements from me ever again. Thank you for showing me the error of my ways.

 

We don’t have those problems here in Florida, we are constitutional carry now.

By the way, you wanna get some straight talk, go over to the turbo Buick site. They don’t hold back on anything over there.
