My first car was a 4 door 55 Special. I bought it when I was 15, im 28 now. I had so much fun in that big old car and it was nice because 4 doors made it easy to let friends get in and out for rides. When I went to sell it (wish I kept it!) I had about 10 MORONS who said the old "well if it was a 2 door I would buy it" Well idiot you knew it was 4 door when you saw the add! Finally I sold it for my asking price to a young guy in his 20s because he was like me and said 4 door is just better for him on cruises with family and friends. So whats up with old people hating 4 door cars? Ive seen so many nice rust free 4 doors being parted out! it makes me sick, someday people will kill for ANY classic Buick or any classic car 4 doors or not! My current buick is a 4 door 61 Electra that once again I got from an old guy in a trade, i gave him an OK condition 79 Nova 4 door. I think I made out good on the deal but he once again brought up how you cant give away a 4 door car. Maybe im ranting I dunno, just wanted to let that out.
There are some 4 door fans out there! I love the 4 door sleepers.... My favorite part about the 4 doors is that the doors are not 6 feet long. The sleeper factor is nice as well! I have surprised many ricers and mustangs with my 4 door grandma cars that I pay $500 for. :beer
Every full size I get is a 4 door. I reserve the 2 door preference for the sporty cars. I've always said if the car is designed for comfort and cruising then make it comfortable when cruising. That means it should be easy to get in and out of, and have plenty of room. Hard to do that with a coupe. Or like what I tell people when they bad mouth the sedans.......When you take your elderly parents/grandparents out for dinner, who do you make climb into the backseat of your coupe?
4 DOORS AND MILES OF SHEET METAL!!!! There isn't anything like it!! (oh by the way I'm "OLD"... 51..) I love the "Land Yachts", "Aircraft Carriers", "Barges", etc... And that's just the thing. Not everyone wants them. Hell I have the only 4 Door Hardtop Wildcat at all the shows I've been too!! I figure the "Little Fellas" are there for those that like the speed and want to get somewhere fast. I'd rather go Cruzin With Class. Besides, ask some of the guys in my Buick Club here in WA... they're great to sleep in.. Just ain't nuthin like 'em!!! :beers2:

I prefer 2drs and convertibles but love many 4dr cars. 61-67 Lincoln 4dr ragtops,38-41 Fleetwood 60 Specials, '57-'60 Eldorado Broughams, all of the 50's through '70's Fleetwood Broughams particularly the 74-76 Talisman, most year and make station wagons- wagons are cool, 75-76 Park Ave, 90s Impala SS, etc etc:laugh:
I think you're confused. You're supposed to cut up them ugly post coupes to save the real coupes :TU:
Is that picture for real? That's got to be the strangest wheels up launches I've ever seen! With wheel covers yet!
There is a story behind it.. I think a lady drives it:TU: But I also think it is BBC poweredou: Hopefully someone who knows for sure will comment
those extra door do come in handy, I love my 4 door, and when I find myself looking at cars I feel more want for a nice four door classic rather than a coupe. There's not many of us I guess......
When I was a young guy we used to say 4 doors were for old people. Now I am one of the old people and I still don't care for 4 doors unless its a crew cab Chebby Duramax.
