i gots the covid

im a week in i have slightly improved today my lungs are still very clear though just my nose and head.

 

So people are getting hospitalized from it and some are dying. Ware is that info coming from? Govt sources, network news. CNN. yahoo news, google. All highly trusted sources. Is there an independent source out there not concerned with acquiring govt grants or political bias, or have pharma over their shoulder? Why is there not a real effort to find out where, how, it came from. You can circle that lab in china. that's where it all leads. But then it stops. How is it not news? Schools closed down for a yr. Public schools. Yet many private schools stayed open. What are the stats on infection rates and teachers dying at private schools. I don't care that Trump and Biden have gotten the needle. But 70 something yr old Trump got it and survived why isn't that shown as inspiration. And why isn't what he was given readily available at all hospitals for treatment for the elderly. When the media all agree with something and beat the drum for it usually is not good. Is this going to be like chickenpox? Most people gen x and back got it ounce and that's it. My kids got a chickenpox vax and haven't got chickenpox. But I hear shingles is adult chickenpox? Why haven't the studies and breakdown of the virus to the molecular level been news? Again independent studies. The govnt mandates you have to were a mask. But the qualifying face coverings are proven and known not to stop the virus. Yet people ignore that and get upset if your not covering up. If there is a mandated mask it should be one that actually does the job. Its called an N95 mask worn properly totally sealing on your face. So wearing a pointless mask is pointless. The king of pointless can be found at most convalescent hospitals. Like ware my wife works. Everyone who works there got the virus. All the nurses and CNA workers wore not n95 masks, face shields, gloves, aprons, and all got it. They all returned to work after clean tests. No one who got it got it again. this is months before any vax. But they were all pretty much made to get the vax. Still no new cases, but they still have to wear the pointless masks that all doctors know don't work. The n95 masks are available to them but they all chose to ware the cloth pointless ones including my wife. So can someone show me why I am to trust something being pushed upon us by totally untrustable sources. Or is that my problem. Not trusting untrustable sources? There should be a control group or real study of 10 000 people that were totally shut off from tv, internet or news of any kind. After a yr see how many of them got sick and died. In my mind, there lyes a great deal of the problem.

 

yeah in 19 it was all lung i thought it was bronchitis or pnemonia but i went to the dr and they couldnt find out what it was at that time. i kept a fever too.

if you want me to be honest there is people who have personal gain from this whole thing. thats why im not interested in political side. personally if there is a ounce of] it helps ill try it. be it a mask shot whatever.

 

Yeah, I was very sick in Feb 2020. Was choking on my own snot, fever and weakness for 10 days. Had to use an inhaler, never used one before. Took a while to get even a fraction of lung capacity back. Appetite was through the roof, but still lost weight.

 

id say alot of those arent being exposed like the rest. they arent at walmart concert whatever. plus if a homeless person dies on the street alot of that is going to get ruled natural causes and no autopsy. i deal with that all the time at work.

 

my appetite has not been good at all i did get hungry today first time in a few days.

 

All of you guys who got sick back then, and you now suspect there's a good chance it was Covid19--it would be interesting to see what an antibody test on you now would reveal. Might help you know for sure whether it was Covid19, or just the regular kind of coronaviruses that have existed for years.

 

In Dec 2019 -Jan 2020 almost half of our company (approximately 100 people) either were out of office or walking around with bad flu like symptoms, one of the people I worked with very closely, and somehow I never came down with it. No one died. Late January 2020 I was on a 7 day Cruise that seemed to have 1/2 of the NY City Jewish community on with us (some sort of holiday for them) and somehow our family did not come down with any thing. After seeing how NYC was the epicenter for Covid a few weeks later I don't know how our family escaped Covid on that trip.

My 70 year old in-law's from Florida caught it in December 2020, Father in-law lost his taste and smell, no other issues, mother in-law almost landed in the Hospital for pneumonia issues (recent cancer survivor). Both are doing fine now.

 

As I said before if people can't discuss differing views you will never move forward. Major problem in today's society (in my opinion)

This is 1 of the 3 usual approaches taken when a legit question is asked of a few on here. It is either lock or delete the thread(by a moderator) or scream and argue then report to get it locked or deleted. Or this approach of not answering a question when put forward. This was the original purpose of the post with the questions I asked. Those with all the answers stay quiet.

The questions I asked were from your posted links and source from their own company pages. The question would seem fair to prove their impartiality in your links as reputable.

Jeff my experience was back in mid January 2020 multiple flights and a week at the LA roadster show is where I apparently got the covid19 virus. This was before anyone really knew what was going on.
I had a temp under 97.5( I'm usually 95.8-96.5) I'm odd and I know it anyway the temp change was about 4 days after I got home. Tired and body ache dry cough in chest along with a zinger of a headache.
I have a lung condition that makes me cough a lot and cough up thick white foam when my lungs are bothered, neat right.
That lasted just a few days. My son got sick about the 5th day I got home. He stayed on the couch for about 4 days without even touching an electronic device or phone. We knew he was sick. He also had a 103 temp severe body ache and congested cough for a few weeks. Mild loss of taste and smell
I did not realize I had a loss until my wife asked why I was adding so much seasoning to things.
I was tested a few months ago and was told I must have just been sick recently with covid as I have a very elevated level of antibodies. I haven't been sick or even a headache since mid February 2020.

In November of 2019, my wife was in the ER with chest pain. It was not a heart attack. Neither of us had anything flu related prior to the visit. I went with her and contracted something that made my sinuses turn into waterfalls. It settled in my throat and some made it to my lungs. She was also ill after that hospital visit but not quite as sick as me. I never missed a day of work and never really ran a fever. I coughed and hacked for a few weeks. It felt like the worst cold I ever had but not the flu. I never lost smell or taste unless you count plugged sinuses as the loss of smell.

Fast forward to COVID-19 mania. In early Sept 2020, I and my wife had a COVID antibody test as part of our regular checkups to see if what we had was COVID. The test came back negative.

I live in Kentucky and it has been a hotbed of COVID activity. I didn't get a shot of anything except an update on my tetanus booster when I started tearing out all the rusty nails in my deck. I don't wear a mask unless required to enter a building. I have been wearing the EXACT same cheap paper mask for over a year. It hasn't killed me yet. Once I enter said establishment, I immediately piss my wife off by pulling the mask below my nose so I can breathe.

As far as the useless paper mask goes, I went one step further. I cut the inner membranes out of it to make it a single layer of paper so it is less restrictive to my breathing. If I was going to get the most deadly disease spreading this decade, I should have already had it by now and died.

My family (me, wife, son, daughter, mother in law) all caught it in December. (Confirmed with testing). I never ran a fever but had a rotating smorgasbord of symptoms, mainly fatique and pain with nausea, upset stomach making random appearances. Brain fog lingered for a month where I’d lose my train of thought in mid sentence or struggle to phrase things the way I’d like. I lost taste and smell. Also would run out of breath while talking. I still have distorted taste and phantosmia-I smell cigarette smoke strongly at times for no reason. Wife’s syptoms were similar, worse loss of taste (she ate enchiladas with five drops of Reaper sauce and couldn’t taste it). Kids were sniffly, MIL wound up in the hospital for a week with pneumonia.
What really amazes me is the wild variance of symptoms reported.

Why isn't Walmart home depot and the rest of the big box stores open or better yet never shut down.... Now places of worship were shut down....
