I'm interested in those levers if they're for sale? Rusted/pitted? Are the plastic pieces black? They're the last pieces missing for the green > black transformation of my interior (+tilt lever with black tip). Interesting to see the stitch-work on the dash pad.
Pics of the stitch work on the dash and a couple of the factory pad.:TU: I am not sure what levers You mean?
The rear quarters are not that bad!! I got a chance today to hit the drivers side with a grinder and all is good!:beer
"Not that bad" is surface rust and light pitting. That's going to need to all be cut out and have new metal patched in. Or, about 7 gallons of bondo, lol. How's the wheel arch look the rest of the way down?
"Not that bad" is anything where there is still enough of the original panel left to figure out how to shape the replacement! :Brow:
Well I bolted the seats in last night. I think I have all the body materials together all I need is the paint and My 110 welder back that My buddy borrowed.ou: It will probably need a roll of wire as they always seem to come home empty! At least with the seats in I don't need to sit on the milk crate any more. The waffle marks on My a$$ were starting to get painfull:bla:
Update! I pulled the nailhead yesterday :3gears: I don't think My stand will ever be the same! I will fire up the power washer today and see what I find. should I keep the AC delete box or are they an easy find.o No:
OK the old girl has been outside for a wile but It is in the shop again:TU::beer I need to get it up and running first. If any buddy has a used water pump for a nail head they could spare I would gladly buy or trade parts for it. I could buy a new one but I have only heard bad about the NAPA pumps and I am limited for time. I would like to drive it up north if I could and that involves a pile of work in a short amount of time. :3gears:
Just what I did and I think it turned out great:TU: The rear quarters were the only really bad spot on the drivers side. I finally have nothing else in line for My shop. The last couple of months have been pretty crazy with family stuff Now I can work on a real car. I plan on spending every spare minute I get on the Buick . Now all I need is the cash to buy the parts:beer
Ok today was a slow day:sleep: Got a good sun burn yesterday welding the quarter but nothing fixes that better than beer:beer trunk pan is next. I will post pics as I go:TU:
Well I got it back in the shop yesterday. I spent a couple of days replacing brake lines on My aunts mazda POS. I cut the bad out of the trunk and got the replacements ready to go :TU: I will take more pics today.
Ya know... They make welding jackets every day!!:Brow: Nice work though, keep it up!! I really like those '66-'67 cats!! :beers2:
Call me crazy... but does that power vent window use the same motor as the windshield wipers?? Hard to say for sure from the pics, but they look really similar to me?
Well that was a productive day:TU: I got the patches welded in seam sealed and a coat of bed liner on:bla: tomorrow I will turn it around and make the other lower quarter wish Me luckou:
