How come I feel as I am committing a crime??? I sit here looking at the car and I think it is a #s matching 66 Wildcat that has a list of options. The only bad points are the floor and the frame. All the parts are there and it seems to be such a crime. Help Me out with this one Brothers:shock:
How bad is the frame? Does it need replacing? How hard will it be to find a new frame from another car in good condition? How much will that frame cost? How many other cars will you save by parting this one out? Got a good 4WD F250 in need of a new body?
The frame is bad! You can take out chunks by hand! The car has spent its life in ont it is done BUT it looks so Goodo No: I think You are rite in saying it will help save a couple of cars. If all else fails I do have a 84 chev plow truck that could use a little character!!!!!:3gears:
If you've got a nice reasonably crack-free steering wheel in black I'm interested. I might consider a front bumper if it is straight, and not in an urgent need of a re-chrome. It would depend if it could be shipped at a reasonable cost though.
I am just getting boxes and bins together for parts. I need to clean out the shop as well before I start. I will post pics once I get started. Any body need a strong 430 and trans?
I would hate to do that for a beater plow truck!!!!! I can get small blocks all day long!!!! They are like a$$ Parts every buddies got them and there cheap!!!! I have a friend building a rat rod and He looks at it every time He is over:3gears: :3gears:
You're using the console/buckets for the convertible. Look at the floor of the hardtop where the shifter mechanism goes through. You will need the floor section for a pattern to cut the hole of the convertible. Also the mount brackets for the bucket seats welded to the floor will have to be cut out to use in the convertible.
Thanks for the heads up:TU: I spent the day cleaning the shop so the hard top didn't get in the shop till late . I was looking at the floor in the rag and thinking about the linkage. Had no idea that the seat brackets are welded:eek2:
They Fit in the shop better when the shop is clean!!!:spank: I spent all day cleaning and it was worth it:beer This morning I will start to strip the hard top:3gears: More pics to come:kodak:
I am looking for a set of seat belts for my ' cat if your hard top has a nice set my hard top would be happy to have them.
I would like to buy a vowel !!! Any buddy have an I???? I have a full set of chrome trim off the hard top in pretty good shape .:3gears:
