My wildcat had power vents, it's a Canadian thing eh! I sold the power vent motors for $500 so if they work they have some $$$ in them
I sold all of the power windows to a member in the summer. $500 sounds about rite. I have only found one other set so I think they are pretty rare:beer
Several years ago, I found a 67 Electra which had them. It was sitting in a small yard just outside Winnipeg. The owners were just a little eccentric. Last summer, I saw a real nice 66 Olds Delmont with power vent windows.
I think they are options on US impalas, but the buicks were only optioned with power vents in the great white north
OK Guys You can't blame it all on the water!!! I think a lot of it has to do with the brain freeze every Year:bla: I think You get a lot of second hand smoke blowing over from BC as well:Brow:
without the deep freeze this year I do have to admit I am going a bit crazy after spending over six grand getting all of our sleds in tip top shape and no where to ride
OK Enough craziness :bla: You Guys west of here are distracting Me from the wildcat. A couple of pics of the passenger side before I start grinding :TU:
I will post more pics tomorrow. I made a template for the lower quarter and ground out most of the bondo. The steal looks good under but dented and a lot of surface rust. I hate to say it but I will have to fill it heavy again to make it look good. If I could find a quarter in better shape I would cut it in but they are like hens teeth and I can't seam to find a new one. I HATE BONDO but it works when You have no other options ou:
I think a call to your local LCBO is in order, just to ensure their beer supply doesn't run out. :beer :bla:
Does any body have a good pic of the rear quarter 66 wildcat vert ? I would like a pic of a clean one for ref.
All the metal work is done:TU: Now on to the cheeseou: I am glad I am not selling this car as the guilt would Kill me :spank: I am limited for time so I am rushing things. I fabbed the lower quarter as best I could and it is solid. Now I am mixing bondo to smooth it all out. My bordsander is going to get a work out. I will start looking for full quarters for the next time I do this:Brow: If all go's well I will have all the ruff body work done for the weekend and I can get the drive line in so I don't have to push it any more.
Nothing wrong with nice metal underneeth and bondo to get your final shape, sure it is not the best but it is much better than trying to bondo over rust... Keep up the good work!!
