Alan --any word on Jason or Larry? I saw there were fires in Queens. Also -- we are glad you are back and safe.

We faired a lot better then expected here and the eye went right over us at 11 PM last night. We have very little damage, mostly just a lot of broken branches that hit my driver. Both the house and tree out front were put up in 1888 and are still here. Was real worried about that tree. The guys in NJ and NY got hammered.

I'm fine Jim. Never lost power, and no trees down on my block. Don't know where the fires were, but not near me. There was one fatality in Queens when a tree fell on a house and killed one of the occupants. Both my Buicks are well protected in garages.

Correction: There is a big tree down across the street in the courtyard. Missed everything though.

The two houses by my daughter were spared only by inches. The 100' grassy yard is gone as is the concrete sea wall.

All good in Cherry Hill. Never lost power, no trees down just some small limbs. Waiting for roads to island to open so I can get to the beach house. My boat did fine in land in my uncles barn. Cars and trucks fine too

In Medway (the town next to Milford), we got 2.4 inches of rain and some wind, but nothing serious. We never lost power. I hope the guys on Long Island and in the NJ - NY City area are OK.

High winds all night, lots of rain, no flooding by me but my creek in the backyard is near its peak :(

Parents were up all night and transformers exploded and caught fire near their back yard but a ton of neighbors saw it and FD came out quick. Close to the toys so that is good!

Will try and post video later on, lots of hydroplaning and flying signs all over the road this morning.

I heard W.VA and Smokey Mountains got snow, pretty wild and Pittsburgh is getting dumped on too.

Hope the NYC guys and gals are ok as well.:(

Up here north of the city it turned out to be a non event. Lots of wind, not much rain. Never lost power, and we Always lose power in these storm. Had lots of gas for the generator for a prolonged outage. Others south of here did not do as well.

We got some high wind gusts last night, lost power at 1am and it didn't return until 6am. I was up all night keeping an eye on my basement. All dry, thank goodness!

Here on Long Island we're in bad shape. Most of Riverhead with no power, close to one million without power according to WLNG Sag harbor. One third of Lipa's sub stations out. I'm using my smart phone now to update. Was at my sons house in Jamesport yesterday when a 60 ft tree in the backyard snapped in half and came crashing to the ground not 2 minutes later another came down across the main road in front of the house.
Friends of ours that live nearby lost their house called us from their canoe rowing to safety then he went back for the 2 dogs left with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Really sucks but everybody safe for now.

Survived ok, 4 black locust trees all up rooted and hanging precariously in the back yard. Going to be a bitch to cut down. No power for me and the surrounding 5 houses. Up the block has lights. Everything south of Montauk Hwy is a disaster. I am about 1/2 mile north of where the surge made it up to. Good luck, folks this ones going to leave a mark!:ball:

Anybody heard anything from Ken Lisk?
Last I heard he had 70 ft. pine trees coming down on both sides of his house.

We're ok here. Miraculously, we have power. Ony thing out is the cable. Horses and kitties safe and sound. Just checked on the buicks and they are good too. Utter devastation around town. Thank God everyone is safe. Buicks, houses and all the other crap can be replaced.

there are areas of Cherry Hill that have no power and trees down. Considering the Eye passed over us we are lucky even though the eye is calmer. some have just lost cable/internet

Some of my buds just north along the beach of me have devastating damage. Homes off foundation floating on to highways, marinas wiped out boats are everywhere on the islands and back bays

How did things go up there, George? Do you need scuba gear to get into your basement?

I just got off the phone with Ken Lisk and he is fine. He lost 7 40-50 year old pine trees and has no power or internet but everyone is OK. He says his generator is running just fine, and was surprised when I told him people were asking about him.
