Jim: I have to agree with everything you said in your previous post. I, like you, have no interest in "politics" and if someone has an issue with one club or another ( and there always will be ) it is nice to have other options available. Both clubs are about the CARS -- they are what we live and breathe and what makes us who we are. Unfortunately, no one can please everyone and we, as leaders, have to recognize that and simply do the best that we can with what we have. I truly believe that both clubs recognize this, and our small but dedicated Buick community will be the beneficiaries by getting more than one large Buick event per year! I hope that I get to attend them all, as I say, it is about the cars and nothing else! Hmmm, maybe if I make Norwalk or Quaker City, I can ENJOY a meet instead of pulling my hair out with 1000 things going on that need an immediate answer!

I would like to echo Mr. Chamberlain's opinion. I have run two small Buick shows and assisted with a few other car shows. I will never complain to the people who run car shows because I know how difficult their job can be. They have to endure many uninformed opinions and some rude complaints. By the time someone with a friendly suggestion approaches them on the day of the event, they may have trouble listening with an open mind.

We gather for the cars and friendships. These guys are providing an opportunity for us to enjoy our hobby. Let's face it, people make mistakes. It is better to enjoy the fun aspects of the event than to dwell on the mistakes.

If you see an aspect of an event that you think needs attention, you might want to ask yourself if you need to volunteer.

The 1st year I attended was 98,last year was 2001. What was all the politics that stop some of you from attending?

it is good to see so many people are coming around to the point that roberta and i have been trying to make for years and that is there is room for several buick events if they would just be scheduled so they would not hurt each other.norwalk in may,gs nats in june and so on.give everyone several weeks between each and most will attend if time and money allow.the key is to give the custmers their moneys worth without excessive fees and all the track time possible.racers are an interesting bunch, they will spend thousands to play but if given a fair shake they are happy as long as they are treated fair and given the time to enjoy their hobby.promise only what you can deliver and anything else is a bonus. this has been a complaint by some racers in the past with some events but hopefully at norwalk we will do everything we can to make your experience with us enjoyable.

That's a long, long, long, long story. I DON'T want to open that can of worms.

Let's just say that there have been some hurt feelings in the past and leave it @ that.:)

I've stayed loyal every year except for '99 when unfortunatey they moved it to Ohio and I boycotted THAT year.

    Hopefully that'll NEVER happen again.:Dou:
