I don't dispute that. I was referring to ECE, external combustion engine.

The Sunoco station on 106 near Bruno has regular at 4.09, and 93 at 4.59. It dropped .30 in the last couple of days.

Hopefully we'll be down around 3.59/gallon or so for 87, come May. It will help mine and everyone else's BG budget. :D

My station is now 4.759 for Diesel and 3.849 for unleaded in NW Kansas right now, the price is starting to thankfully come down here in the Midwest. Larry.

Actually, it's not. Credit/debit transactions get charged a 3% fee to the merchant.

Difference at the pump for cash or credit here in GA is .04 to .06.

Owner is taking a hit or GA has laws capping it. 7 years ago in NH it was against the law to charge more for credit. Or the owner has it figured in to his pricing.

10 cents a gallon cash/credit difference here in most gas stations in Washington...... Me card lock CFN furl is cheaper.... the question is how much is it when I'm filling the tank. I would have to take a pic of a gas station near it on the day of filling.... Thats not happening.

I get it. The merchant has to cover the 3% somehow. Quite possibly your last sentence is what is going on in my neck of the woods. When I responded to Jason's post, it is because I've never seen that big of a difference between cash and credit here.

Yeah, 10 cents was the usual norm till prices surged, and c/c fees are based on dollars, not gallons. at 5.50 a gallon, that 3% is 16.5 cents. Back in the 80's, 75% of gas sales were cash, so there was not really a need to charge more for credit. Today, 80-90% of sales are credit. Many times the banks make more on gas than the merchant does.o_O

Everyone is making money except the guy pumping it. Plus bearing all the risk of 20k gallons in a fiberglass underground tank.

I think he was pointing out the obvious - EV's are still powered by fossil fuels in most instances..

Yeah I know what you/he is saying. ECE isn't accurate though. The ultimate source of all energy on earth is the sun. Without the sun, there would be no plant life, animal life and no oil. Should we say say all ICE are ultimately powered by the sun?

That and the former CEO of Greenpeace in the 70's (now admittedly regrettably) lobbied against nuclear power.

And now in another bone-headed move, our former illustrious Governor Cuomo has closed Indian Pt. Where and how is NYC getting it's electricity? Didn't they ban NG in new building construction too, but it can be retrofitted still???
