The story I got from Ed Toth owner of Toth Buick GMC and owner of the 72 was. He put a bid in with GM for the 72 when it was done making the show circuit. Received a call out of the blue on day telling him his bid was accepted and that he was the owner of the car. Ed has owned it ever since and that includes today.
Man... I don't know where you come up with this stuff, but the Jewel Store is in Countryside, Il. at the triangle of 55th st. Brainerd Ave, and Plainfield Road, taken from Topps Super City parking lot. They were the precursor to K-Marts. Just to the right of the Jewel is Polk Brothers appliances, there was a hobby store recessed in between and the left side is Kirschbaums bakery, with Breens Drycleaners way to the left. ws https://www.google.com/maps/@41.789...tzijuRkzIIWANhH1rg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!6m1!1e1
Black & Whites. Am I putting folks to sleep yet? Post 90, picture 5, somehow the angle gives you the feeling of the car having front fins and I never noticed that before...
Nope! You're not putting anyone to sleep yet! Keep 'em coming! It pained my heart to see the 59 get crunched, but it was kind of neat to see in that early seventies shot with the 70 Wildcat that the photographer was using a KW Praktica camera that originated in the GDR (East Germany). Those cameras were good and cheap and used Pentax lenses; - (which at the time were made by Zeiss Jena in the East as well!)
do not see any ricers... today every other car on the road is a ching chong wingwong.. mobile ....its sad
Wow, Brian! You really have access to quite a collection! Last one is too funny! Thank You and please keep 'em coming.
