That is a great pic, but man they just can't do it justice. It's crazy looking. Couple years ago when I was up there it was a race weekend (most weekends are), and surprise! Pops and the brothers entered me in the trophy class... and, unknown to my mom, they let me use her "good car" Aurora while she stayed home....got to the semi finals and red lit by .0002 hahaha..... the owner Earl is an amazing guy. Has an El Camino with a zz430 that runs 12s. Pops and he have a little Elky rivalry going. That's my Dads candy brandy 468" and Earl's blue small block grudge racing this summer
That picture of the inside of the Super charger is insane. It's huge and the screws look like titanium. Amazing stuff.
If this has been asked and answered please forgive me. How do you attach the body to the tube chassis? Is it just make 4 mounting points like on a frame car? The weld the floor to the rocker boxes below the cage tubing?
There's a lot of ways to do it, this honestly is our first full tube chassis car. If the car was a body on frame before, you can make tabs off your chassis to go to the stock mounting points, or make your own tabs for both body and chassis that mate up. When the car is a unibody originally, you obviously have to fab mounts for both the body and chassis. Yes, the Mustang has and this car will also have a carbon floor.
You can plate it from the body to the chassis to make it permanent or go to mounting bolts to bolt it together.
On a unibody car how many attachment point do you need? I need to check that out next time I'm around a tube car.
