Good lord..looking at that pic reinforces the fact of how there is such a scary little amount of iron around those lifter bores. :shock:
Yeah I blew one up at Salem too. 5 1/2 runs don't know what went wrong but it blew the block, oil pan,etc. Rob I aint dissin you I just would like these guys to post some of this " stuff"? PS My 1st motor came from Tom Rix gone thru by Scotty and still blew up (did I say 5 1?2 runs) no one is perfect and we are dealing with the s*&t we have. I want a TA block, ya know Bulldog ain't gettin r done:dollar: If I wanted a Chebby I would have bought one, at least its a GM (Generic Motors)
I Know Phil, I think Scotty is the man 2!!:beer But he never spent the time that Dave and John above have to fix the problem!!:Smarty: I would love to have a new block also, but we can only do the best we can with what we have!!! Rumor has it that Bulldog has a few in the machine shop? Maybe TA Mike will get his moving along!! I know I will wait for Mike's block. I know if he makes it, it will be bulletproof!! He likes to make everything as strong as possible!!:TU: He also never cuts corners and rushes things to get it out faster!!
