I would like to say thanks to whomever the person in Texas is who found some original parts for my car. I recieved a call from the state patrol today, almost 3 years after they recovered the car, { minus the front clip, numbers matching mototr and trans etc..}. The person in Texas recently bought a complete GSX front clip from a guy here in Colorado.

The thief, er ,I mean guy who tried to register the car when recovered by the state patrol back then stated someone droppped the car off minus the front clip to be " restored". I went out to his house, { address on the police report}. He was not home, but I looked around a little and found a barn full of Buicks and misc. parts, needless to say he knew what he had. I talked to the guy and he denied everything , telling me a B.S. story the whole time. He said he never had the front clip all. He even had the balls to call me about a year later and try to sell me back my own parts.

Well, fastforward to today, I spoke to the same officer who worked the case 3 years ago. He said he got a call from the guy and said he did not want to get into trouble.........continued...............

He said that he did have the front clip after all, and recently sold it to a guy in Texas. He said the guy in Texas saw my restoration post on here and put 2 and 2 together and figured out he had bought a stolen front clip. He called the guy back here in Colorado and asked if he had bought stolen parts. Well, the guy here got cold feet, called the state patrol yesterday to say he did not want any trouble, and to see what he could do to get the parts back into the rightful owners hands. The State patrol will be getting back to me after making contact with the thief, er I mean the person who was selling my parts. I do have his name ,address and so one and will post it on here once the outcome is resolved so no one does business with this dirtbag. We are contemplating a lawsiut to recoupe some of the things that the thief, er, alleged thief, caused us to have to buy to restore this car,....Karma is a bitch and this guy deserves whatever he gets....thanks to this site for giving me a place to post and for the right guy reading my post....Thanks V'8 Buick!!!!

Karma is a "BITCH" and I hope this guy gets all he has coming to him. It's also great to see that there are honest Buick gearheads out there that want to do the right thing, a BIG "THANKS" to you. You won't find many people like the guy in Texas that questioned the validity of the ownership of the parts. This story just keeps getting better.:TU:

RacerX88, This car was from Houston, up in the Northwest part. I don't know if your the same guy that came by and bought a few parts from me back in the day. If not, he had a car that looks like your's on your pic.

No need to post full address and there might be legal reasons not to.

Thanks for your input Shawn, but after what this guy has got away with, I could give a flyin' _____ about this guy's legal rights......He just may have messed with the wrong person....

Nope, wasn't me. This car has only been blue for a little less than a year. Was Flame Orange before that. I used to have another blue GS but sold it in 2000.

Progress is being made in the thet case involving stolen parts from my project. If anyone knows who may have bought a 1970 455 gsx engine and trans off of here a few years back I would appreciate it. It only had one head on it, as I have the other one. I have turned over a lot of information on who had my parts and the description of said parts to the Colorado State Patrol. They are confident that charges will be filed and I may have a bit of satisfaction in the end yet. Like I stated earlier, Karma is a bioth. Thanks for everyones help so far!!!! If you e mail me I can tell you their screen name and location, but I am keeping it off of here until charges are formally filed. Thanks again and a happy new year to all.

Hello, and yes there is an update. I met with an investigator from the Colorado State Patrol on Monday at my house to go over all the documentation that I have thanks to the honest members of this site. I had no idea that I would ever find out the truth, much less have the authorities interested in prosecution. He reviewed all the information we have compiled and even looked at the car to see the amazing progress we have had on the restoration. I was able to convey what a hardship was created by the suspect concealing the fact that he had kept the front clip, motor and trans after he found out the car was stolen. He went to great lengths to make it sound like he had no clue, but the evidence proves otherwise. I am hopefull that we will have a bit of closure on this case and find out the truth, and also that this person learns a valuble lesson, the internet makes this a small world, and people are not as dumb as he seems to think. I would like to again say a big thank you to the people who helped break this case, they are members of this site. The owner would also like to express his gratitude and express his thanks as well....V8 Buick rocks!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I thought I would post an update. The Colorado State patrol went to the thief's { alleged} house yesterday to present with the facts that we have compiled. Low and behold they foung my BB code trans, driveshaft, 2 WG code wheels, which there were 4, and what is left of the engine. They had all the parts towed to a storage yard, { where I have to pay the charges and then file more charges to recoupe} I am going down this morning to recover the parts and see what shape everthing is in. The State patrol will be presenting the case to the D.A to charge the thief { alleged} theft by recieving stolen property and selling stolen property. Whether the D.A. files criminal charges or not, I will be filing a civil suit to try to get restitution of some of the money I spent replacing the stolen parts. I may not get squat, but this guy is going to be put through the ringer a bit because what he has done is not right at all.....more to come on as the GSX turns..........

Ryans-GSX Have fun, life is short.

Sweet! Your getting your numbers match motor and trans back and one less dirt bag on the streets....it's a win win... Your car looks great and I for one am happy to see a GSX that is going to be driven and not put inside for no one to see or enjoy... Burn the tires off that sweet ride !!!
