I picked up all the new sheet metal bolts, shims etc. the other day and we are going to mount the doors and fenders and hood so we can layout stripes. I found a place for the sleeved body washers so I can complete the body to frame mounting....It is nice to see it coming together after what this car has been through....:beers2: thanks Dave

Well, it has been going a bit slow lately, but progress is being made...took my 200 mile round trip yesterday to work on the car a little. Got the body securely mounted on new rubber from Then and Now restorations. There kit was awesome and made the kit I got from PST look mickey mouse...rebulit the door hinges and hung the doors. I am going back tommorrow to hang the front fenders and we are getting ready to layout the stripes....Does anyone know if there is a rear spoiler gasket available??...Hopefully we will have it striped by next month, we will see how it goes.....:)

Went down today to see the hood striped and polished, along with the doors and fenders...I will bring the chassis home next week to start to do firewall assembly and complete wiring etc. After all mechanical stuff is complete we will assemble the sheetmetal for the final time. The owner came up from Texas to see in person and could not be happier........Dave

curious about the valve cover painting... are those black?

Not that I'm bothered just that it struck me as unusual.

you are correct!!! ding ding ding.....they are black....just an old set I had lying around, waiting on new chrome repro's with correct part numbers, but thought these would do to keep the bugs out of my top end until then....
