I see in these pics the car had Texas plates on it. Just curious where in Texas they lived at the time?

Nothing at all racerx, it was a JOKE, but I guess I will try to be more serious......all I can tell you is that he did live in Texas at the time and If he wants to chime in and tell you where he will, as he monitors this thread....Not trying to be an a- hole, but It was stolen while in my possesion and I am not into giving out any information on where this car is, was, or taking any chances, nothing personal I am just a little aprehensive after what happened to me before........Dave

No problem! Since I've lived in Texas all my life, and at one time or another knew most of the GSX's in Texas, I was just curious if this was one I never knew of. :TU:

spoke to the painter and the fenders, quarter panel extensions and decklid are painted. I am going down there on Friday to layout hood stripes and look at the doors and decide on fixing them or reskinning them. I will post pics when I get back...Dave

I made the 3 1/2 hour round trip down to the paint shop today to see the progress. I could not be happier that we made the decision to go all PPG top shelf paint. It is well worth the cost and is a quality product. These pics are with color and 2 coats of clear prior to wetsanding prior to striping ,then applying the final 3 coats of clear. The pics really do not show how good it looks, and I can't wait to start on the main shell.......Dave:beers2:

Did I miss the story? You picked it up from the highway patrol, was it stolen?

    :bglasses: Hello guy's and gal's ,
Sorry it took so long, but I just got back from spending the last few days at my friends body shop and we finally got it painted. I have been touching up overspray on the bottom and detailing the dash etc....we are in the process of mounting the body and sheet meatl to get ready to stripe it. It still has a long way to go, but it is coming along pretty well. The owner is driving up from Texas with a new grill, radiator and a ton of misc parts...hope to fore it up soon...thanks for looking Dave

Where are you getting your GSX graphics?

GSX use paint not graphics. There is a company that does them as a decal set but I haven't seen them around in years.

There are several available stencil kits for the layout of the stripes..I have seen them from around three to four hundred bucks.....
