I have been sick about not making it to BG this year but now I feel a little better. I sure hope the thieves get caught. Someone will start selling these parts and the Buick Turbo guys should know what to look for. I agree with lojack you have to protect yourself these days. If I were in BG I would travel an hour in each direction . Nashville and Louisville for sure looking for " parts"
I was deciding whether or not to put a fuel shut-off valve on my Buick. I think this settles that question.
This news sickens me and absolutely ruins my near perfect week! I hope somehow, someday these AHOLES get theirs!! Just getting caught will NOT be enough! (if you know what I mean!!) Steve
This is such sad news for such a great event. It is so screwed up that people can't decide to earn their own possessions and steal from those that work their butts off. I hope the rigs are found quickly and fully intact. Definitely makes you think more about a disabling system! Mike
Bowling Green seems to be a hotbed for car theives. It's happened to often. I won't be attending any Buick events in that area to soon ! I like my cars too much than to have them ripped off by some scumbags !!!
I remember the Csordas' car got stolen along with some others a few years ago at Cecil. BG must not be the only "hotbed" for this type of activity. Willies convertible got stolen from his own back yard. Cars are stolen from peoples homes, the city of NY, L.I., Atl., Sav. etc every day. You cannot get away from this no matter where you go. Best to protect yourself with LoJack, GPS, tow truck disable system etc than to stick your head in the sand and stay away. Too bad for Billy T. though. I would love a few minutes with the gutless turds that stole his rig. Hope he finds it quick and in one piece. Someone needs to call AMP and Charlie Evans and have them be on the lookout in the Owensboro area. They know a LOT of racers up that way. I would bet its within 10 miles of BG.

I will keep my eyes open for them. Billy did you write down the serial numbers of the installed parts?
from what I've heard, it was (2) seperate truck/trailer/GN's, and (1) truck/3car trailer w/ 3 GN's on it Really Sad to hear this. At the BPG Nats we have an armed guard who stays in the parking lot of the hotel each nite "walkin' the beat"
I contacted BG Convention and Tourism Bureau today to complain about the lack of security at their local motels. I pointed out, if the city of BG does not step up to the plate and do something about thieves praying on the visitors attending Beech Bend events , I and others may no longer travel to their City resulting in a negative affect on the BG economy. I urge you to do the same. Call 1-800-326-7465
When I read about this last night on YB, I got sick. So, I started posting up on the KY based forums and some national forums ( as well as craigslist) about the theft and put a link to the YB thread . Hopefully someone will spot the scumbag thieves. I sure hope all the victims involved gets their property back unharmed.
This is truly is a loss to the Buick Community and will effect all Events from here on as it is posted on most of the Car forums even non-Buick. I know as an event organizer one of the BPG's prime responsibilities is to provide for a safe and secure event from the Racing at the Track to Security at Hotels and Track. Which is why the BPG suggests that Trailers and Cars are parked at the track where armed security is provided. We also work with the local Convention Center to provide security at selected Hotels and post that information. The fact that we post this information on the internet may provide that extra layer of security so that potential car thieves know the BPG are proactive and deter them from trying anything. It is nice to go down to Hotel Parking lot at 3am and see BPG hired security in the lot making rounds. I hope these cars/rigs/trailers are recovered and that we can still hold these Buick Events without fear of loss...This is by no means a dig at the GSCA as I am sure that this is the last thing they wanted to see happen as they have proven to support the Buick Community for many years
Keep your eyes open... "Recieved an e-mail that all vehicles were spotted traveling north I-75 heading towards Michigian. The convoy was spotted on I-75 around 12 noon on Sunday around Sidney, OH milemarker 93. My truck was leading the pack. Billy T. gnxtc2@aol.com"
