John......i guess i'm not good at reading between the lines........i see where it was mentioned he put up the $$ but i never saw that it was confirmed by Billy or anyone else that it was what got the car located.........please fill us in if you have some fact as to how his car and truck was located........ Thanks and Peace WildBill
It would be best to get the whole story from Billy but in a nut shell someone called Billy and he knew where the car was. Billy called the Michigan State Police and they got warrants and arrested a guy and girl. T he girls minivan is the one seen on the video from the hotel stealing the other truck! They were professional car thieves. 2 brothers and they were in BG for their mothers funeral! Case is still on going as they still have not found the other brother nor the other truck & Turbo car.
Thanks John :TU: That really fills in some blanks for me on this. Hope they find the other brother and the the other rig. Was a truck/trailer with 3 GN's also stolen ? Thanks again for the info! Peace WildBill
If this was answered before I missed it but I would like to know if the truck, trailer/car was driven from Kentucky to where it was found or was it moved inside another type trailer, etc?
I think there was a report on one of the sites of a sighting of those rigs going north up I-75 the sunday of the thefts..... Peace WildBill
damn all in the family thieves!!! i would take this to be a federal crime since it crossed state borders? more time in jail?
I wonder if car thieves ever get any serious jail time. Seems like every time someone is arrested for a crime... they mention in the news the criminal ..."has a long rap sheet".... what ever happened to 3 strikes and your out!
The 3 car trailer was broken into but they could not get it started. Yes they drove straight to Detroit with the rigs. Left Saturday night after the theft around 10pm. Trucks were filled up by the others so they probably didn't even have to stop for fuel till they were almost home since they were diesels. As far as I know the other brother is still on the loose and no sign of the truck or turbo car.
They need to treat the caught brother like a whopper sammich and flame broil him until he caughs up Shady'Bs hole
Exercise Common Sense Since 2006 I have been transporting vehicles in the lower 48 states. I am on the road over 300 days a year. I spend the night at motels over 250 nights a year. That is 16 years @ 250 nights = 4000 nights. Never had an issue …. I usually park where I can see my truck & trailer from my motel room - my view tonight from my room I disable my truck so it can’t be started. If I can’t see my truck & trailer from my room and even if I can - I try and back up against a solid object or another vehicle or light pole or jackknife my trailer at an angle so my ramp or cargo doors can’t be opened. These were also professional teams of guys stealing multiple rigs,...like real deal gone in 60 seconds guys....I will say I do the same practices especially disabling the tow vehicle but they target bowling green every event they have
If your towing with a GM rig, there is a starter relay that is super easy to remove in the under-hood fuse box. Take it out, no crank.. I went a step further, took an old on, and gutted it, but left the prongs in it.. so it plugs in, and does nothing.. so even if they got into the under-hood box, they would not be able to quickly ID the no crank issue. There is no obvious missing relay, that they can just unplug the one next to in, and put in that slot.. but you would not have to go that far. if your not doing this.. Start... or your just asking to have your stuff stolen. When I am towing, and anytime I have to park for any length of time in a "Shady" place, that starter relay is in my pocket. Even with just the truck.. Just simple, preventive, common sense. Nearly insures your truck will never be targeted, because we all know that bad things only seem to happen, when you not ready for them. JW
