Well for one thing Jason, America slapped some very punitive excise duties on Canadian softwood lumber exports a few years ago. That all but killed most of BC's forestry industry. I doubt that it will ever recover.

This should piss some off. The Iraqi shoeman is a national hero. And I just watched on the news dozens of "liberated" Iraqis BURNING our USA flags. Yep. Mission accomplished. At least they are doing it over there. Maybe Obama will get us out of there.Certainly no one else can take a clue. If it's any condolence,at least there is a barefoot Iraqi journalist sitting in a USA run prison in Iraq having the crap beat out of him. A few months of torture. That'll teach him.

Anyone here againts the war who hasn't watch the footage of them cutting that contractors head off should watch it and then be objective. I had to for my onw peace of mind to remind myself why we are there, easy to find on the web. I can tell you, you don't need a mouth/head to scream. And take less then 10 sec with a sharp knife. Well, the man had a choice to be there or not and should have known the consequences. And if Bush had not invaded,he would not have been there in the first place. Just think of how you would act against an invader of YOUR country.

 

What?! That guy would have had a bullet in his head in the alternative if he threw the shoes under Saddam. He was from a Sunni-based news outlet - so I think he is o.k. with Saddam killing hundreds of thousands or millions of Shiites and Kurds. He wants it to go back the way it was ...
