I knew there would be at least a 74-76 Riviera to add to the list.... found it somewhere on the internet: According to the text it's Fifi, boss of Madmax who has a 74-76 Riviera. Will try to find that movie on DVD first thing in the morning to be sure... it's hard to tell looking at this tiny photo Should have bought the movie long time ago, for it is one of my favourites.... (but didn't noticed the Riv before.... )
i found some cars that were improperly listed on there ...........a k-5 listed as a ramcharger is one i remember o No:
Look for a movie that might be out in the test stages up north around Utah as the film maker is from that area and my brothers Buick(66wildcat with flames) and my 66lark are in the back ground and my car has a actor in it for about 2 minutes but they filmed in it for about 3 hours. The sound guy loved the cars sound so much he dubed it for some other cars that were too noise. The movie is called "American Grace" It was filmed her in my local town about 2 years ago. May still be testing as was the last we heard. Doug
ok i just watched the 2005 remake of the amityville horror and if you pay attention to the first scene after the lutzs leave the doctors office you will see a row of parked cars an impala, chevelle, mustang followed by a 71-72 burnished cinnimon? (dark copper?) sport wagon with a gs hood. you can see it perfectly when you slow mo the dvd. i've seen this car (or very simular car) before. anybody on the boards?
Well, I just saw a 71 Skylark convert in a low budget, not for anyone under 18 :Brow: :eek2: movie...it was way too funny! The car was trashed too !
Just saw the 1999 movie "Go", a 1972 Boattail getting damaged by a pick-up truck in a narrow alley. Screen shots:
Nine to Five - 1980 :ball: If I remember, Erik, those 3 chicks drove a beautiful 1968 Skylark (Blue) and if I remember, they trashed it! Mike
I'd been waiting for a thread like this. From the movie "Gattaca" " I was conceived on the Riviera. Not the French kind.. the Detroit variety " That line was a real groaner.
another movie with a buick in it There was a film in 1989 by the name of "Pow-Wow Highway". It's about two cheyenne natives who take a trip from Lame Deer, Montana to Santa Fe, New Mexico in a '64 buick "war pony". not sure what the actual model is. Could be a 'lark. :TU:
Another thing I liked about this flick is that the 4 boys stayed in the Riviera hotel in Las Vegas. You see them driving to the hotel in the Riviera, with the Riviera hotel neon sign in front of them. (The Riviera R emblem was influenced by the hotel logo, and the presentation of the 1963 Riviera was on September 10th 1962 in the Riviera hotel in Las Vegas)
This wasn't in a movie but a recent commercial. Saw a 71 Skylark/GS in some auto parts ad on TV. Only saw it once. o No:
Yesterday we were hooking up a new TV and were going thru the channels when I saw a great shot of a QQ in a museum setting. Turned out to be an old 90210 rerun. The GSX is the car in the background while the guys are looking at a different car but the stipes and rear spoiler and hood scoops are unmistakable.
Watching an episode of MacGyver, right now, and there is a 1959 Le Sabre - I think - at any rate, a 4 dr H/T, being used to spring him from a prison.
