Gold, has to be gold! It would really thrill me if you could find a video of the rear turn signal lights! :TU:
You'll never find a Buick guy if you start running around in an Olds. Somebody warn the Olds guys named Jim!! ou:
Looks like the only front driver this group respects has to have a 400+ cubic inch v-8 with at least 385 hp. :Smarty: Makes sense to me.
Yep! I agree! :beer It's hard to think about the newer FWD Buicks. I still think it's just wrong! I've given up on the Buick guys and moving to the Olds guys. Then onto the Pontiac guys, then maybe..... ou:
I'll try to get over there and look those toros over I saw soon as I can. Dodge truck guys are nice too
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit. There's no point in being a damn fool about it. W.C. Fields You should try the Lamborghini or Ferrari boys......they have all the $$$$$$ you're looking for!!
Those boys are just trying to compensate for everything they lack! So are a lot of the 'vette and Viper boys. ou: Hate guys with their nose in the air. :blast: Some of the Buick/Olds/Pontiac boys have $$$$ too! Plus most of them are down to earth genuine people, not trying to impress the world with their fancy imports. :Smarty: Put Stewie in a Buick, and he'd be my perfect guy!
try taking a stock 66 buick through the twisties at 65mph. a true automobile enthusiast appreciates ALL CARS for different reasons. fast, slow, loud, shiny, stock, modded, rusty, new or old. and just for the record.....it doesn't take 25grand to make an import fast. a turbo doesn't cost 5000! i could have made my vw a 600hp turbo car for under 5000, including the turbo, fueling, head gasket, piping, intercooler, and stand alone engine managment, down to every last nut and bolt. and have it still be street legal and a stock appearance.
shhhh... they dont listen! dont beat yourself up about it though, ive gotten into a few arguments on this board about it.. saying almost the exact same thing as you, but nobody wants to hear it... in fact, search my name.. there is some good reading on the subject.
Yah, I saw this one on Rides once. Its basically a Chevy with a Toranado skin. Hardly the same thing.
Well, I've got a Buick - but you already passed on my resume. :ball: Sounds like there's no man alive that will live up to your standards....... o No:
Not true. I believe the '78 Turbo Regals were FWD, in fact there's one in the new Hemmings. Was it Regal? It was one of those Buicks from the dark ages of performance. I don't see any one here dissing them.
The Regal was correct wheel drive up until 88. There was a turbo Riviera up until about 84 or 85, and Pontiac had a turbo fwd Grand Prix in 88-89. Hey Stewie: sorry to hear about your being snubbed. If it's any consolation I met a FANTASTIC woman on here a few months ago. (just hope I can hold onto her)
Just re-read that article I was talking about, and the car was a '78 Riv. Check it out in the new HMM.
2 Cents Being an "old" Buick guy, I don't have much time for the average "ricer". They are noise and junk mostly. But I remember we had guys in the 60's with jacked up 283 4dr junkers that would whip around right turns to get them to spin. Squirrels then and the same ones today with the caps on wrong and the fart pipes and hugh wings. To answer the question, you have to be in the low 12s today if it is a street car and 11s if it is mostly a street/ strip car. At least that's what I think. I was driving a 12 second car in 1966 and have always wanted to be that fast or faster. Jim N.
