Been doing Caste Village every Sunday for the last 3 weeks or so. Memorial day weekend ... Sunday night my Chapter is the host club at the Quaker steak and lube cruise on RTE 51 in pleasant hills. You guys are all invited to come on out. Dan

Im usually there every Sunday. But this Sunday coming up is the cruise at Moon Park off of business 60. It is one of the best cruises of the season. Its all day long, there is a constant stream of cars coming and going all day long, bands , DJs, Food booths, Burn out pit, and this huge park is just full of cars all day. Its a cant miss. So unfortunately you can find me at Caste Village any other Sunday but this one. In fact I would be surprised if Caste village has many cars this Sunday ...... even the DJ at Caste was hyping Moon Park. Maybe you could come out there. We have a prime spot that we share with the professional car society right near the entrance to the park, and we always have room for another Buick. If your interested I can give you directions to get there. Dan

I wasnt there last Sunday cause I made a mistake on the dates concerning the Quaker State cruise. Man this thing just keeps coming back to bite me. When I told you guys memorial day weekend we were hosting the cruise, I was wrong. It was Labor Day weekend .... so I was there last Sundayou: Okay directions. If your coming from University Park boulevard. Make the left onto Beaver Grade road from University Park (KFC there on the corner). Take Beaver Grade to Ewing road. Make a left onto Ewing road and Moon park is about 1/2 up on the right hand side. As soon as you enter the park at the first break in the guardrail make a left into the grass and drive towards the back. You will see a group of ambulances and hearses (Professional car society cars). We are usually right on the other side of the pro cars. We go there together with the PCS and have our own food spread to go with the vendors stuff. Now if your coming from Robinson town center (I cant think of the road name) But the directions are similar. Turn onto Beaver Grade road go to Ewing road and make a right onto Ewing. I'll jump into the post. I live in Castle Shannon and drive the Flame Orange 72 GS. The Caste Village cruise gets alot of Buicks and we all live around the South Hills area. You might want to check out the Flash Light Drags at http://www.alteredgas.com/ they are a great time. I race at Zelienople almost every time and it's a blast. I will be heading to the race in Waynesburg this Sunday, then the following Saturday the 15th is racing in Zelienople again. Dave
I'll have to hit the Zeli event (Waynesburg is a little too far for me). I need to figure out which car I want to bring though. It'll probably be my rusty Skylark. I'll need to put my sticky Mickey's back on though. The whitewalls are about useless on that ride when it wants to go fast.
What happened here. I just posted and nothing came up. I guess I'll try again. I'm going to try to attend the Zeli event and I'll definitely be at the Clarion event (unless something happens that's more important). I'll probably be in my rusty brown Skylark, but it'll be sporting Buick Ralleys and sticky tires. It's too bad Mickey Thompson doesn't make those drag radials with whitewalls. There's just something about a car with poverty caps, whitewalls and loud exhaust. Hey Dave: I met you at the Zeli event in June. I had the white '97 Formula and had to make a pass before we were finished talking. I won't be making the 15th event due to a business trip. Maybe I'll catch up with ya the next time around.

Nope..... I'm leaving for Canada on Monday morning so I figured I would spend Sunday at home wit hthe wife, kids, and Steeler game. Honestly, I was only at the drags so my buddy could benchmark his '84 Camaro against my LT1 since it is bone stock. Since that day, he has ported his heads, replaced the cam/intake/carb/exhaust, and made a few other mods. We weren't able to go to Zeli a few weeks ago because we were putting new motor mounts in his car. I am hoping to get to the October event at Zelienople....
