ahhhh i just read through all 14 pages of this HORROR :af: :af: :af: i totally agree that you should get your car out of there, its been long ennough, and he has had time to work on it, i know you dont want to, but trust everyone on this thread Take her outta there AND GETTR DONE
Body Shop Problems Okay, I just got back from the body shop and it is still outside!!! Bruce, HELLO!!!!!!! AL.
:boring: :boring: :boring: :boring: :boring: :boring: :boring:         Make it stop.....please!!!! ou:
Hey, I'm here....... Got alot going on..... Have to drag the cat (JAGUICK) to the chassis shop. I put the new yoke in, replaced the bent track bar adjusted the pinion angle (was 7 now 4) but now the rear is sitting 3 in higher on the pass side. When the track bar bent from the driveshaft smack it must have bent something else. Obviously if the track bar was bent that distance was made shorter..... Anyway there is only so much I can do and the car at the bodyshop is on the list and as soon as I get finished typing this I'm calling the ba$#*d. Bruce
maybe we should all get together in our buicks (there is what... 50 of us on this thread) and drive over, grab Bruce, and rescue his car. he'll look out his window some morning to see a second GS nats outside his house. :Brow:
Body Shop Problems Well, guys we got the car!!!! The only thing I can tell you is the owner of the shop is not very happy with me. I will not steal Bruce's Thunder on this one so he will fill in the details. Bruce wanted me to hang out with him for a wile because and friend of his firing up his new 455. I couldn't because I've been awake since yeasterday (night work) and need to fix the blower motor for the A/C unit, Good night, I know I will have some very interesting posts to read when I wake up, AL.
Hope everyone had your :moonu: 's hanging out the windows as Mr Owner  screamed in his 1-less-car-to-work-on parking lot. Good job guys. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG overdue to stop this bleeding! :TU: This is the reason I havent gotten any body/paint work done to mine yet. Between trying to find good work, costs, completion schedules, I almost dont want that hastle. I also dont believe "good" work should set you back umpten-thousands of dollars. Need someone like Mike or someone that wants the business to say, "Let me do your paint/body work. I will treat you right, do work I will stand behind, keep you advised, and wont make you sell your house to pay for it". Sure takes alot of fun outta the hobby if you have issues like those. I dont mind waiting (within reason) if I have the communication that things are progressing slowly, or not at all due to __________. Anyways, there was no end in site at this place. You did the right thing by getting your car. Sounds like it could have been EVEN worst.
Oh, my god....the owner of the shop is not very happy....tell him to take a long walk off a short pier.
I would sure hate it if that guy had the nerve to show up at a car event I was at. I would try to keep it only verbal but if I am there, I bet some of you would be there too. And when he had 5-10 people gathered around giving him a piece of their mind. He may try to swing at someone. Try is the key word.
other than the obivious fact u got yer car back, is he pissed for anything you did that u may have been try to piss him off...aka...smoking them outta the lot, telling him to suck an egg, or as our other buick friend noted have all yer asses hanging out the window? PS it woulda been sweet if like 50 of us whent over there in our buicks to get yer car back. Me and some of my friends did something like that, except we used our three chevy trucks to give this kid a lawn job (he had an huge front back and side yard so we needed alot of truck)
Congratulations! :TU: The shop may have wasted some of your time, but you got your car out of there before he had a chance to really "Diabo" you. I hope you make public the name and location of the shop. It would be bad for another Buick person to fall into the same hole. Good luck!
The shop owner was suprised ,wait till he's served with legal papers to recoup your money for your ruined motor and pain and suffering. His shop should be shut down for treating a buick like a shivy :ball: :blast:
