Ok, not a cheap car for its day and I would guess IF the movie linkage is accurate the staffer would not have been a regular Joe or intern. Too bad the production companies seem to be gone and even the property master has passed away.

    Shawn,
The Transportation Captain (Harry Leavey) may still be with us, he has credits all the way up to 2016. He also worked as a co-captain for the Sopranos.

    Just as a note,
The car was scheduled to go in the October issue but has been moved back to the November issue of Muscle Car Review. It should be on the streets sometime in late September. The HP & Torque stats have been corrected for the 850 double pumper Dyno pulls, which is the set-up it is running now. I believe it ran even stronger with either the 950 3-bbl, or the race prepped 870 4-bbl.

Just took Drew Conley and his bride Katy for a ride in the 69 car. Put a couple of smiles on their faces.:D:D

I believe their friend may have taken a video, I know he was smiling too. All three of them liked the car.

Yea, Drew, Katy and their exchange student (from Italy) went to Philly to attend Katy's cousin's wedding reception (cousin was married in Ireland a month or two ago). I really appreciate you giving the kids a ride Duane. I told Drew I expect a full report with video and he promised he would. Manolo (?sp) is the exchange student and I'm sure they gave him some American History lessons while there (Drew is a history major...no money in that profession so he works with me and is poised to take over the business in a few years), so I'm sure between he and Katy the exchange student had an exciting experience, especially with "The Ride".

I thank you my friend. You're the best.

The kids just left a little while ago, and they had a nice time in Phila. I took them to a historic place in my area, Morton Homestead, where John Morton lived. (He was one of the signers of The Declaration of Independence.) Then drove them into the city so they could do their walking tour etc, and then picked them up. Drove around Phila. a little showing them things and then took them to Nifty Fifties for milkshakes and sodas. It is like an old 50's soda jerk place. Manolo had never had a milkshake before. You should have seen his face when he first tasted it. I think he fell in love. He is a real nice kid.

PS. You should look up the history of John Morton in Wikipedia. He sided with Franklin and another guy, and was the deciding vote in favor of Pennsylvania saying yes. It is an interesting read.

That one was the casual launch, as Nick would say I was granny shifting. I did the better one on the way back.:D
