Awesome car! Another thing I'd question is why the "S" stamp is a different size than all the other letter/number stamps. Blue engine paint on the block is wierd, too.

11A is november 1st week (5 month diff, whick is within the 6 month limit)

RS is struck without gangblock. gangblocks were use for vin/ser #

Its my understanding that these sets of #'s are not Julian date codes but some GM Buick corporate check codes or something . My # match GSX has a 373 and another GS a 420 .Some older posts by Buick and GM #'s guru Daune state "these #'s are not openly  spoken about over the internet " in an effort to prevent fraud etc .

Yes, you are correct. i was taking a guess and was wrong.
Duane also corrected me and also said those codes(production code) are NOT openly spoken about.
As soon as i get some free time, since im about 15 mins away from duane, i want to stop by his place, buy the book and have a lil chat about this GS and a few others (one`66GS, two`68 GS's, one`70-350GS, one`70-455stg1)

**Im kind of new to buicks, more into BBC's (Camaros/Chevelles)
