If you have any thoughts, let me know. I've got some time off for a couple of days and would be more than happy to do my best to give you what you want.

Hmmmmm ... I'll try one of the original two to see how they look on a shirt.

I really liked the tri-shield logo look.

What did Shakespeare say ... "Kill all the lawyers!" Oh wait, that may be copyrighted as well. Can't use that.

    OK, I tried another one.

    Has anyone else done this?

Just looking at the number of .png file downloads I've had at Mediafire, it breaks down like this:

    First Design (Shirt 02): 2
    Second Design (Shirt 03): 3
    Third Design (Shirt 04): 1
    Fourth Design (Shirt 05): 3
    Fifth Design (Shirt 06): 6

The first design also had a couple of downloads of the JPG file, which is just for purposes of illustrating what's in the .PNG file. The PNG file is designed to be uploaded to create the shirt. Of course the most popular was the one that Zazzle wouldn't allow.

It's funny, I made a shirt using "Dunder Mifflin" on Zazzle, which is the 'company' that everyone on the tv show The Office works for - no problems.

Here's the link for where I have these images stored (JPG is for illustration and the PNG is the file you download to (upload) use on Zazzle.com:

Steve, have you tried any 'Initek' shirts from 'Office Space' ?

    There's a huge market for those ....

I'm on the road for the holidays (9 hrs driving yesterday and 14 today). I won't be able to mess around with any until I get back. But I'd need a high resolution photo to start with - shots that are sized for v8buick aren't big enough.

Gary.........I've seen many of your post's over the years, but I guess I never noticed ( I guess I never looked ) that you have a low miles, '69 GS 400,Stage 2, 4 speed car ( no less ) in your stable. I'd love to hear about this if / when you ever have the time.
    Thanks, Jeff

    Thanks for asking.Its a long story but heres a abridged version;
My first GS was a 66 GS with 4speed and 401,bought it used for $1800. in 1967,did some "unsupervised contests of speed" on the local streets while doing the cruising thing as a boy of 19 as that was the "thing to do".Made my first trip down the 1/4,ran a best of 14.8 which was hauling for me back then, and got hooked.Read a hot rod article about Pop Kennedy testing the new stage 2 stuff and competeing in NHRA competition going 12.5's.With the new 68 GS400,That was for ME.
In nov 68 went to the local Buick dealership,Erb Bros. and ordered a 69 GS400 4 speed, spartan down to the manual, steering and brakes, ordered the 3.64 rear,am radio, and steel wheels. Was meant for one thing, going fast. Also ordered over the counter the stage2
    package,cam,pistons,bearings,springs,pushrods,edlebrock,4.78 gears,MT headers.
Got the car in Feb 69,the stage2 stuff in April, drove the car about 1000 miles and some street contests plus some track duty, ran a best of 14.6 all stock with 14" bias tires, then disassembled the engine to put the "good" stuff in.
Dad had a fit, there goes your warrantee he said.Oh well, who cared back then.
By the end of summer it was time to put it on the street and 1/4 again.WOW,never drove anything that fast in my life, now we needed slicks big time! Continued to do some street duty, this time the cars that beat me before were nothing but fodder for the stage2,talk about surprises, the ol blue started to get a rep.Lost very few races, the one car that continued to beat me by a car was the 440 six-pack road runner, awesome car,the street hemis were nothing, never lost to one. I needed to see what it would turn,a bunch of the street guys also took their cars out too for one of the T&T's.There were only 2 cars out of 9 that were quicker,my nemesis the 440 sixpack and a full race Z28,Blue ran a best of 12.68 at 110mph.with recap 7" biters, that was real quick back then. After that ,the word got out locally and few wanted a piece of my lowly Bu-hog.
Continued to race the car in NHRA trim in G/S and ran a best of 12.38,but class racing started to go down hill locally since the big bucks /sponsered cars were always faster and everyone knew ahead of time who was going to win.
I drove the car on the street and occasionally down the 1/4 but stick shift bracket cars didn't fare too well, and our young kids were taking more time and so racing took a back burner.Since blue wasn't that streetable for everyday transportation it didn't get driven much, hence the low miles.
When I got back into racing more regularly a auto car was necessary so "Thumper" came into being and latter "Scat",and Blue sat and was relegated to cruise and show duties, attended my first GS nationals in 1983 with her and took second to Kieth Kronkite's beautiful Verde green 69.
My first new car is still with me,with original miles and interior and paint,I'm putting the original steel wheels and poverty caps back on this winter so its as I got the stately ol' girl some 39 years ago.Who would have known back then that I'd still be the proud owner of this piece of muscle car lore. Muscle car review put 'er in their magazine,Nov 1988.
I've been asked a couple times to do a brief history of our 69 in the Extra or BPG but I haven't made the time.So I appeciate the opportunity here to share.Thanks.

(First of all, I didn't expect such a timely return/answer. With that being said, I'll give a brief reply and expand on it soon. This isn't about "T-shirts," so I didn't want a "gap" of 6-8 t-shirt responses in between.)

    Gary,
Upon reading your story I can find any words to describe it. Maybe "Pha-Nom-In-Al" ? Reading it, (VERY good well written story) I'm not sure what kept my saliva from shorting out the keyboard. You are SO LUCKY (fortunate) to have been able to buy this car NEW, and then add the Stage 2 package to boot. To me, you were carrying thee biggest (or one of the biggest (1969-Stage 2-4 spd. Buick GS !!!)) torches for Buick back in the day when they were (and still are) SO underrated. And then, the preserverance of still owning the car in present day.....almost 40 years later! This all seems so unreal. As I said above, I'll expand on this soon.
Thank You So Very Much Gary, & Merry Christmas to All
    Jeff

Jeff, good to see you on the board again.:)

Gary, Your story is incredible... That 69 Stage 2 is an amazing example of muscle car history... Thanks for sharing that with us. :TU:

Thank You Graham.....and it feels real good to be back. And I've been meaning to send you a note on whatta beautiful job you did on your car (for me it's been too little time/too MUCH to do). You've built one Heavy-Duty piece of machinery there, that's a class operation as well. Feel free to throw my compliment on the monstrous pile that you already have :pp . When I can find the time, I'd like to read your posts & get updated on your car. After that I may send ya a note with any remaining questions.

    Gary,
I'll finish my response soon......and, when things settle down after the holidays or when you have the time, maybe you could post some more pix of the car ? And...if you do a complete article here or somewhere else, please try & let me know.

    Thank guys........gotta go! Jeff

    Steve,

Yes I did ... a nice white one. I wear it proudly at the local car shows.

I'm surprised that more of us didn't chime in.

    WHERE'S THE STEPCHILD NATION???

    Scotty,

Were you happy with the images and how they printed? Which one did you print and which t-shirt did you use?

I really liked the one with the tri-shield, but unfortunately zazzle pulled the plug on that one. What would be cool is a shirt with a bunch of red, white, and blue Buicks in the shape of the tri-shield.

Thanks for bringing this back up - it's one of those out of sight, out of mind things. I've left the files up for anyone who wants to do this - just read the instructions above on how you can create your own using the .png file as the final one for creation.

Do you have a 62 that you'd like to make into a shirt yourself?
