No sir anyone who has ever qualified for Super 16 is in face eligible!:Brow:

 

I assume anyone with a car capable of qualifying is welcome. whether or not you have ever qualified in the past, we need all the cars we can get. also hope they lifted the non buick body ban..it is a stupid rule,

 

I didn't come up with the rule, but I am it's most ardent supporter. The first year of Super-16 the winner was a Camaro with a 455. Last time that's ever gonna happen. It's not stupid, it's the most important way to identify this class as being for BUICKS, not some other brand of racecar that someone snagged really cheap and threw a Buick motor into. In fact, that rule, and the rule that they must be door cars (no dragsters or altereds) are non-negotiable for as long as I'm running this deal, and I plan on being around for a LONG time.

 

Buick POWER rules! Especially with the new block!

 

Its closed minded thinking like this is why we barely have enough cars to even have an event...

 

I'm jealous I'm not able to attend. That sounds like an amazing event.

 

Heres my hat from the 1989 Nats as a Super 16 participant.It and the driver are a little faded but I'm going to wear it this October.

Very cool Gary. Going to update list this week after a phone conference with Derek and Dave and put in writing who at this time are committed to attending in writing. If you have a car or know someone who is not on my list please let me know as I know I am missing people and/or cars from this list. Thanks everyone. More information coming as well. Thanks to everyone in assisting us in finding cars and or people to attend/race and also in spreading the word to others about the event. I appreciate that more than you know as well as Dave, Derek, Doug and Mike.

Ok I am going to start making calls and harassing people to bring their cars to race and at very least show as well.

I will try and update daily or every few days with pictures of confirmed cars.
