We need stores like that in Denmark. Is there any chance that I could buy some filters from one of you guys that has got plenty of them? Over here I have a good deal at a parts store and I pay around $15 for one average filter.
I have been using K & N Oil filters and Mobile 1 synthetic 15w50 oil in my GS 455 for over 20 years and everytime I change the oil (Every 12 months or 150 miles! Whichever comes first!) The oil is always super clean! I like the fact that it has a drain back valve & resin impregnated filter fibers.:TU:
My 10 filters showed up today (2 days early). So them along with the 6 I bought from Jegs last year when they had em' on sale for $8 I should be set for a LONG time on oil filters with my 1 GS-455. regards
i just ordered 12 from my local aap. 1.95/ea. shipped to the store. they say i will have them in 5-7 days. they had to order them through their supplier, their warehouse didnt have any.
I ordered 36 from a store in Tulsa Oklahoma and they shipped them for FREE to my house in Northern Virginia!!!:Brow: My girlfriend is there and they took my credit card over the phone. Tryed that here in Virginia and they laughed at me. Great counter help there.
Ordered 20 in southern NJ. they said they will ship to the nearest store for me on the 28th. I belive these to be the best oil filter available for buick engines.
Whats funny about all of this, is someone somewhere at AAP, is wondering why hundreds and hundreds of HP-2003 K&N Filters have sold in the last couple days...HAHAHA
I picked up the 10 I ordered yesterday around 6:00 pm and for grinnies had them check the warehouse to see if any were left. Needless to say they were all out.
I was thinking the same, I pictured a guy in the warehouse thinking 'wow these got popular all the sudden!' Picked my 10 up yesterday, feel like I won something for a change.
Called Advanced just a couple minutes ago.... The guy said every warehouse in the country is now showing no filters in stock
I ordered 20 yesterday and the guy showed 20 in his system, so I paid for them and now have to wait a few days for them to come in. He could not believe it either.
I have a related question while we are on this topic. My fresh BBB goes on the dyno in a week or 2 to get broken in/tuned and Im wondering if its worth using one of these for the break-in since the oils going to get changed after very little run time? Should I use one of these or should I get a less expensive filter (i.e. Wix) since its only going to be used for a brief time? (Hope this doesnt count as a thread "hi-jack"....)
Got my shipment of 30 today, stashed 'em right next to the 48 Mobil 1 filters I got for 99 cents!
