Yes guys, this is NOT a joke. Advance Auto Parts has K&N HP-2003 Oil filters for sale for $1.95 per filter. Typo? Maybe...i bought 6 of them last fall thinking it was a mistake in the computer...went to get more last week and they were still $1.95 a filter...got another 10 of them. I called several AAP stores around the easy coast today (i'm from the midwest) to see if this was true for other stores...they too list the filter at $1.95. These are bigger capacity filters than your STP, Purolator, Fram, etc. Hopefully i put this in the right section!! Go out and get some boys!!! EDIT: I am not able to find these filters on their website...must go to store to purchase!!
Musta been a typo. I checked thier website and local stores and they are $14.95 each! Glad you got some at $1.95! I wish I had a few for $1.95!
Not a typo. The guy at the Advanced counter almost laughed me out of the store until he pulled it up in his computer. The HP-2003 is discontinued and is selling for $1.95. Unfortunately Advanced doesn't have any left in this part of Florida. AutoZone has some but they won't match the $1.95 price.
I went to the Advance this morning. Guy at the counter was quite surprised to see the price of $1.95 as well. He said the warehouse showed 12, so I ordered 12. Thanks for the tip!!!:beers2:
Its legit guys!! I just got off the phone with advance. Parts guy about sh** when the price came up. Didnt have any in stock but said he could have them the next day. I ordered 10 and before tax my bill was $19.95!! Thanks for the heads up!!:beer
I just returned from a trip to Advance Auto. The counter person was the one that we all have nightmares about. I give him the PN and he says just a minute. He walks out to the floor and comes back NO we don't have it! Lets see I just checked the shelf and I see you do not have it there. What anout in back? Nope. Can you order it? I don't think so. Can ytou look it up. He says Sure he then spends 15 min on the in store inventory. Nope we don''t have i. I say I understood that can we order it. He finally checks the local stores. Nope they don't have it either. I ask can we check the warehouse? I am not sure but if they had it we would have it. I say its being discontinued and I would like to see if the warehouses have any? I am not sure if they do or not, can I help the next person? Now I am pissed. I say you have not helped me yet!!!:af: So since I used to work there I say listen if you just putr in the PN you will see that you have none. Sell it to me anyway and see what happens. The computer checks around and finds it in Salina Ks warehouse. So now he cannot figure out how to order it and needs a manager. After I told him to hit the button that says confirm (F8) Now it should be a done deal right? Nope he says I need a manager because the screen tells him to confirm that I am paying up front. SO now I am ready to start yelling at this new guy that they put on the floor with no training. I see a manager walking by and say hey tell this guy to sell me this filter. The manager says just hit F8 to confirm. ou: Then he turns the computer around and I see that a dozen are available and I ask why not tell me that? FNG says Oh I thought you just used one on a car at a a time I say give me 12 of them. He says I think I need a manager again !!:af: :af: :af: ou: SO finally the manager comes back from the back and hits the key to sell me the friggin filters and says thats a great price. I know thats why I am here instead of at home showering off 24 hours of firehouse grime. So in a coupe days I should have 12 of them 3 Buicks all use the same filter so I am good for a year:bla:
Stopped in the newly opened Advance Auto close to me. The store manager looked it up and confirmed that they were indeed $1.94 each. None in store or localy available. Put my info in the computer, entererd a quantity of 10 and it shows a delivery from the Delaware warehouse of Apr 27. For those of you not drinking the reusable oil filter Kool-Aid this a a SMOKING deal for a high quality oil filter. Hell it's a smoking price for ANY oil filter. regards
Went to my local AA parts this afternoon and ordered 10! They said that they were only allocated 5 but went they ahead and put in the full order, said that they would have them tomorrow. We will see. Thanks to 73Stage1 for the heads up!
I just called a local Advanced Auto Parts store that we deal with here at work and the girl there tells me there is one filter left! My price is $1.76! I asked her if there could be anymore ordered and she says "No"! Why am I always a day last and a dollar short?ou:
Well! Let the light shine down on me! The girl just called me back from Advanced auto parts and she has 24 (two cases) coming for me and will be here in the morining! $42.24 + tax! I couldn't buy 3 filters for that a week ago! Well I guess I am set for another 20 years!:TU:
I just ordered 6 from a Northern Indiana store. Should be in in the morning. They are still available so go get em. My counter guy had no problem finding them. Total cost was $12.52. Mike D.
