i was thinking the same thing .... now that my own car is stripped down ready for a complete face lift
The intake would be very close on a stock hood, I have custom mounts on my motor and I know it wouldn't fit f I had a stock good. This weekend I'm at the ls fest and havnt hardly ran the car all year at the track....yesterday wwas just working a lot of bugs out with a best of 10.9 And today everything was ready to go and had an awesome time and VERY surprised at what it ran on just 15 lbs....this is the same tune/ boost etc that I made 710rwhp locked and 664 unlocked on earlier this year
I had race gas in it from where we turned it up to 25lbs the week before having fun on the street But all my runs this weekend were on the pump gas tune and boost level
i posted the slip a few posts up...or you mean how much boost?? I dont know how much boost i left with on my 3 passes this weekend...the 10.05 pass i left at 3300 or 3400
No doubt. I watch all these LS powered notch mustangs run nines with junk yard motors and a 150 kit. I have to admit I envy them, except for how ugly their car is.
That is a killer looking photo. Nothing destroys tires like a turbo charger. Does it feel fast yet? Looks like you are at the edge of your safety equipment again.
My normal burnouts are small but at this event I always do BIG burnouts cause of all the magazine and tv crews that are there...camera man from horsepower tv almost ate my bumper when I came out of the water box lol And NO it still feels slow BUT I can pull the wheels up on TB launches now haha, that IS fun And yes I'm on the edge of safety equipment, but I won't put more cage in this car since I drive it so much.
Nice runs! .257 R/T, are you fighting timing the boost with the lights. I plan to run my turbo car in super pro this year and I am a little conserned about timint the boost with the two step and getting crapy lights. Well one thing is for sure you didn't have to worry about going red. You car is coming along nicely.
congrats speedtiger! getting her down there for sure, how much nitrous are you spraying to it? buickgs400...its a borg warner t6 flanged, s475, 82mm exhaust turbine, 1.10 ar......595 brand new haha and turbo455....i can build 12lbs of boost on footbrake before i even hit the 2nd bulb. It is a 55n jet tune (roughly a 125 hp shot). It is on a progressive with a really soft launch(stock axles). My new axles will be here Tuesday, so we will "kick it up a notch".
