New cam will def let the car launch much harder ...with the last cam I could only footbrake 1-2 psi, now it will do 10-11 And that's with no 2 step haha, that'll make Trans brake launches that much faster for use on a pro tree which is what I'm usually on
Today is the day Any guesses for pump gas? It made 570 last time on 11-12, should get to 15psi this time.
we just stopped at 13 psi for now... the cam and just 2 psi was worh 100rwhp 710rwhp locked, 664 unlocked
Usually 90-100...93 octane, 18 degrees of timing up top and never got any knock Hopefully I'll be at bowling green sat and get some new times

Have been checking out this thread for a really long time what progress GREAT JOB how much boost will the new motor take
Been busy and havnt been on a while...but tonight was the first time at the track with the new setup First pass foot braking it went 6.68 @ 107 and only trans brake pass it went 6.56 @ 106 Those are the only passes i got tonight since i have to run to work now (just wanted to get a few in) so next times out will hopefully get better. A/f was 10.8 so that will have to be leaned out a lil bit but besides that everything went great for its first time out on the new setup. ---------- Post added at 08:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:16 PM ---------- this motor should is limited by the turbo, its a 75mm..but if i cranked the boost up it would make close to 900 wheel or so, its at 13 psi and 664 to the wheels right now.

Vid lookd great a few post back you said it made 710 locked is that with the converter locked ??? do you lock the converter when racing ?
Yea that's 710 with the converter locked, just gets the numbers closer to the motor or a stick car....hero dyno numbers lol I tried locking mine only 2 times so far but it didn't work for me..but I know others who do it and it helps their ET and mph, just depends on the whole setup
Honestly I'm used to the speed...kinda boring lol. Last motor usually went 101 and my first pass with this new motor was 107...when I passed the finish line I thought it was really slow and lowered my head in dissapointment, until I saw the slip haha.
