I hope they dont have an agreement with the state you reside in. If they suspend you DL in Ohio it may go back to you home state. Just an FYI.

They would have to have your SS number on a signed contract in order to report it to credit bureau's. Your signature on a citation makes it a legal contract. They tell you that it doesn't,but they are full of $hit.

This is probably the credit corp. that financed the GESTAPO camera's for Heath and now that they have removed them Heath cannot pay off their debt and are turning over the tickets to the $#%&@ corp. in an effort to pay some of it off.......

Tom......i was the electrician for the prototype labratory at Delphi/Delco Electronics...i know quite a lot about all facets of electronics and sensing technology... .........do you understand how they calibrate those ground loops that actually trip the camera's for each lane......i WAS NOT doing 12mph over the speed limit in that truck................that trap was calibrated WRONG and especially not for my loaded to the hilt 4-wheel drive......

Bill, don't even respond to that notice. They don't have anything. All they have is your name. You didn't sign anything with that company or sign for a citation. I wouldn't even worry about it. It will go away all by itself.

Bill if anything comes in the mail, unless you are found in person and have to sign for it, THROW IT AWAY. My Dad use to get all in a huff when he got Jury Duty papers in the mail, so I use to clip them before he saw it and just threw them out. Its once you respond to the letter is when they got you. My father in law who can hardly walk in his 80's got jury duty. I had an argument with my wife to just throw it out. She wanted to call them and explain the poor health her father is in that he can't go. I told her that she will then have to take him, and I want no part of it. Sure as sh1t, she was sternly told he must come in. So she missed a day of work to drive him there, waited 4 hours before they excused him.

Now with bigger cities and towns things may be different such as when I was with the NYPD we had subpoenaed witnesses and on the subpoena it says failure to respond is subject to a fine and or jail. hahahaha 20 years I NEVER heard of anyone getting fined or jailed, and believe me there were plenty that just trashed the subpoenas not responding, and they were hand delivered too with some even telling us and the D.A that they are not coming back!

You just never got it, thats your excuse. Think about how many pieces of mail gets lost or mis-delivered. You are not responsible for anything received in the mail. Screen your calls. If you happen to pick up don't admit its you. Tell him, "Oh that guy rented a room from me I think he died or something. Tell them anything, and refused to give any info to them over the phone. I doubt they will hand deliver something to you or go through legal channels trying to freeze accounts, its not cost effective. In these days with cutting costs I doubt very much they will break wind spending triple the amount you owe or more on efforts to track you down.

And if you happen to be that 1 in a million I promise I will visit you with a file inside a nice chocolate cake:laugh:

They say on there that if you cannot pay contact the office:

lost my job, about to be evicted and had to put my cat and dog down cuz I cannot afford to feed them.

But then by calling I'm acknowledging receiving the letter and they got me!

Nick......you are not alone.......fight the good fight :TU:

I do not believe it is a "collection agency".....i beleive it is the company they borrowed the money from to finance the installation of those cameras.........

This is nothing more than theft by camera......the locals voted to get rid of them.....for a reason.

Where's John Wayne when need him :(

p.s.........i wonder how many outstanding tickets they have from out of town peeps like us.....:Brow:

Well.......now I wish I had paid the damn ticket. I went to refinance my house and my credit history showed the ticket going to collection and affecting my credit score. So...I ended up having to get a higher rate on my mortgage.

Then today, I had an FBI investigator interview me regarding my security clearance and they took a whole page of notes on the ticket I "ignored".

I told them the town voted against the cameras so that should help.

    What a load of BS......
