Absolutely not, but while I got the intake off might as well get a better matched cam in. :TU:

I agree that this would be a good time for a cam swap, so hopefully the new gasket fixes the smoking.

He has GREAT flowing ported iron heads in the 280 range intake if I remember right. Also the single plane intake should take advantage of the cam!

X2, Cason. Who did your heads? BTW, what you doing with the old 212 and lifters?

     Thanks guys.

The head porter told me not to go around telling people I had him do my heads, but I ask him to join in the thread.

The high lift on this cam is going to take advantage of the killer flow numbers of these heads (270 int/195 ex.) However, it is still mild on duration to keep it happy at low RPMs:beers2:

I noticed the mild duration, but the lift is so radical... I'll be the first to admit I dont know alot about cams, but when I seen those specs I was like damn...

Yeah should run well. My 1.65 ratio rockers contribute about .030 more lift versus stock.

Ok guys I got the car running very well however I still have some fuel starvation issues to take care off.

But I am going to need a much better converter I am thinking.

What do you guys recommend in terms of stall speed and size? Something north of 3000 stall may be in order. I am keeping the lockup, of course.
