Re: 57 Plymouth Burried in Time capsule They said they would take it out earlier to clean it up a bit for the unveiling.
Re: 57 Plymouth Burried in Time capsule ya know i read quick about the prowler and it's in a welded alumimnum box. why the heck wouldent one use a double lined underground plastic tank. such as an underground gasoline tank.? oh some of the standing water rust can be from the steel plate the car is setting on.
Re: 57 Plymouth Burried in Time capsule "miss belvedere" check out boyd at 3:57, CAN YOU FEEL THE ENTHUSIASM?! http://www.kotv.com/e-clips/?id=6748
Re: 57 Plymouth Burried in Time capsule Watching the live coverage now. The car is wasted inside and out. I dont think there's any saving it. My feeling is that it should be left as is and put in a museum
Re: 57 Plymouth Burried in Time capsule Looks like the interior is in shreds. I think it would of faired better being buried in the bottom of a lake
Re: 57 Plymouth Burried in Time capsule It's on live now.Time capsule was just opened, dry as a bone.It made it!The car on the other hand, different story.Looks better than I thought, they took the beer out of the trunk, yea it still has a trunk.Only one can opened, and they found a can in the back seat.Glove box fell to the floor with possibly a Womans compact.Everything inside and outside is the same color, brown.Click on watch it live. http://www.kotv.com/
Re: 57 Plymouth Burried in Time capsule What a shame,a car with no miles on it never had a chance to roll.I know it was 50 years ago,but you would think they would of thought of a better way to water proof it like the time capsule.
Re: 57 Plymouth Burried in Time capsule Well from the looks of that picture the back suspension is shot to hell!
Re: 57 Plymouth Burried in Time capsule I still know a lot of NCO's down at Ft. Sill who would be more than happy to get some Privates together and get that thing cleaned up.... :Brow:
Re: 57 Plymouth Burried in Time capsule I give up trying to find the video. All I can find is it being hauled out of the ground. If anyone can find a link of seeing the car out of its wrapper please give it to me. What a shame!
Re: 57 Plymouth Burried in Time capsule Poor car. Why did they design the lid with the seam on top, instead of making it more of a cap?
